Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been hospitalized on Tuesday after it was discovered she had come down with a gallbladder infection. According to ABC News, the infection is “benign”:

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon for “a benign gallbladder condition” that had caused an infection, according to Supreme Court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg.

Ginsburg is expected to remain at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for a day or two but still participate in the telephonic oral arguments Wednesday when the court will hear oral arguments in a case involving the Affordable Care Act’s contraceptive mandate.

The Supreme Court released a statement about her condition for more details.

“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg underwent non-surgical treatment for acute cholecystitis, a benign gallbladder condition, this afternoon at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland,” said the official statement. “Following oral arguments on Monday, the Justice underwent outpatient tests at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., that confirmed she was suffering for a gallstone that had migrated to her cystic duct, blocking it and causing an infection.”

Ginsburg, 87, has been in and out of hospitals lately, including a diagnosis of colon cancer, pancreatic cancer, and lung cancer. According to the Supreme Court, this isn’t going to slow her down.

“The justice is resting comfortably and plans to participate in the oral argument teleconference tomorrow morning remotely from the hospital,” the Supreme Court statement said.
