Elizabeth Warren Has Overtaken Biden In an Iowa Poll, Signaling Many Dems Really Have Fallen to Radicalism

Every time I think the Democrats have reached rock bottom, they ask me for a shovel.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, the woman who is just shy of being AOC in terms of radicalism, is now leading the Democrat party, at least according to the Iowa Des Moines Register/CNN/Mediacom poll that was recently taken. Joe Biden, the race’s former leader, has now taken second place.

Don’t get me wrong, Biden was no moderate himself. He was just billed that way. Embracing the Green New Deal, one of the most socialistic laws to see the light of an American day, is good enough to throw him into the radical pile with the rest. However, most Americans aren’t going to busy themselves delving too deep into a candidate. If the media says he’s a more moderate choice, then that’s where they’ll head.

With that said, it looks like Democrats in Iowa are cool with radicalism.

As the Daily Wire reported on Monday, the poll shows Warren has squeaked by as both the favored candidate for first and second choice:

The poll, which surveyed 602 “likely Democratic caucusgoers” and was conducted between September 14-18, asked: “Which one of the following Democrats would be your first choice for president?” The respondents stated both their first and second choices.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren came out on top with 22% of respondents selecting her as their first choice, and 20% as their second choice.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, long considered the front-runner of the Democratic race, came in second, with 20% of respondents selecting him as their first choice, and only 10% as their second choice.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) came in a distant third place, with just 11% selecting him as their first choice, and 10% as their second.

The Daily Wire also pointed out that while Warren leads in Iowa, Biden is still the overall leader throughout the rest of the nation with a 30.2 percent lead to Warren’s 19.8. That’s a big gap, but there’s still a lot of football left to play.

Biden might be the leader, but looking at his performance while on the campaign trail has me wondering if he’ll hold onto it for much longer. Late last month, polls showed Biden’s numbers were in free fall and that it was only a matter of time before he was replaced with someone else at the top.

The gaffe tap seems to be open to full and every day brings a new gaffe. What’s more, the Ukranian scandal hasn’t been good for his image either. Biden is becoming increasingly complicated for the left to support, and it’s only a matter of time before that complication becomes a rejection.

The Iowa poll might be an outlier, but I think it’s the pebble that starts the avalanche.

It’s not all bad, however. Warren will bring complications all her own if and when she takes over as leader of the 2020 pack. For one, the left will have to rewrite its book of outrage in order to make Warren lying about her Native American heritage okay, which will certainly be hammered by Trump and the Republicans going forward.

She also has the issue of being a radical who embraces socialistic programs, which Americans just arent’ that into. This shift of Democrats to the radical left will likely turn many Americans off, and bring them into the arms of one Donald J. Trump.
