When you’re getting angry over the fact that President Donald Trump is doing something as good and uplifting as sending a cancer patient an uplifting letter, then it’s time to take a step back and look at yourself. At least, that’s the advice I’d like to give the leftists currently spilling salt by the truckloads over this.
As reported by CNN White House reporter Betsy Klein, Trump sent the letter to a cancer patient whom he said was battling her cancer with “uncommon courage” and that he and Melania were inspired by her “strength and spirit.”
“Always remember that there are many people in your life who love you and support you. We are all on Team Lillie!” read the letter from the Trumps.
a personal note for a gesture that doesn’t often make it onto WH twitter but should be recognized: a dear family friend is battling brain cancer — she received this letter from @realDonaldTrump and @flotus today and her mom says it brought her much joy after a very tough week pic.twitter.com/8OjrtT16Zj

As the Daily Caller pointed out, the left immediately jumped on the letter to point out nasty things about it, namely that Melania’s handwriting looks a lot like her husband’s.

Imagine a world where our president extended such grace in all actions.
That old men don’t change is an observation and exaggeration, but there is not an actual rule preventing @realDonaldTrump from deciding to #BeBest. https://t.co/wadaXD6C7t

Director Robby Starbuck assembled a collage of responses to Klein’s tweet saying nasty and ugly things about Trump’s letter, noting that it’s solid proof that Trump Derangement Syndrome is indeed real.
Wow… @betsy_klein tweeted about a sweet letter sent to a cancer patient from @FLOTUS & @realDonaldTrump and this is how the left responded to it… This kind moment should be something we unify around and root for.
The responses are pure Trump Derangement Syndrome. pic.twitter.com/dqLRAoqm53

The sad part of this is that this is supposed to be one of those moments where we all rally around the cancer patient known as “Lillie.” Instead, angry leftists want to make this about their hatred of a Republican president.
I’m daily inclined to believe that there is some sort of shared derangement about Trump when he can’t even breath out of his left nostril without someone calling for his job over the fact that he didn’t breath out of his right nostril. A kind note to a cancer patient should have been an easy thing for us all to get behind, but even that is now divisive.
This is going to be a long presidency for some people, and I hate to see how much farther into the mire of their psychotic hatred these leftists will fall by the time Trump leaves the White House.
