WATCH: AOC Refuses to Denounce Socialist Venezuelan Dictator Nicholas Maduro

Birds of a feather oppress together, and Alexandria “I’m the boss” Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) doesn’t seem to be willing to denounce a former leader who gives us the perfect example of what waits for us at the end of the road she wants us on.

During a Q&A with reporters, Ocasio-Cortez was asked about her thoughts on the Venezuelan crisis, and if she’d denounce the regime of socialist dictator, Nicholas Maduro.

“I think that this is absolutely a complex issue,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I think it’s important that we approach this very carefully.”

AOC began to dance around, noting her concern for the Venezuelan people and the humanitarian crisis currently ongoing within the country. However, when it came to U.S. intervention, the democratic socialist made it very clear that she opposes it.

“I am very concerned about U.S. interventionism in Venezuela and I oppose it,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

She wrapped up her answer by bashing U.S. special envoy Elliot Abrams, but did not speak a word against Maduro.

The U.S. stance on Venezuela was made clear by President Donald Trump, who released an official statement dismissing Maduro as the leader of Venezuela and acknowledging interim president Juan Guaido.

Interestingly, some Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez have outright refused to side with Trump against Maduro, namely Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

This is actually the second time Ocasio-Cortez has been given the chance to denounce Maduro and avoided it. In fact, she called Trump’s disregard of Maduro as “concerning.”

Maduro is responsible for starving his citizens due to overregulation in the name of social justice, and crashing the Venezuelan economy. It would appear that Ocasio-Cortez is hesitant to denounce him, as Maduro and Ocasio-Cortez share the exact same ideological opinions.
