AOC Embarrassingly Demonstrates That She Doesn't Understand How Comparisons Work

We’ve now come to another episode of “AOC Doesn’t Get.” It’s a neat little series where somebody does something New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t understand and, not the brightest bulb in the box, proceeds react in a way that embarrasses herself, her party, and makes everyone watching either cringe or laugh hysterically.

Today, we’re going to cover how AOC doesn’t get comparisons.

Last week, AOC reminded everyone that since we aren’t coming up with overtly ridiculous ways to cause government overreach in order to solve the problem of global warming and stop us all from dying in 12 years, she’s “the boss.”

James Woods made the best comparison of all.

To that end, Texas Senator John Cornyn (R) made the comparison of AOC’s sweeping and complete plan to turn America into a nation of purely green energy, high-speed rail, and fartless cows to the restriction of personal freedoms as highlighted in a speech by history’s head fascist himself, Benito Mussolini.

Simply quoting a man doesn’t mean you’re endorsing him. In Conryn’s case, he was using Mussolini’s quote to show others the ideological truth behind sweeping reforms like the kind AOC was advocating.

Ocasio-Cortez, however, saw that Cornyn had quoted a bad man, and without thinking too much about it — as is her wont — screamed from the top of Mt. Twitter that GOP members are proudly quoting fascist dictators.

A reporter correctly guessed what Cornyn was getting at, and upon requesting clarification, Cornyn was only too willing to give it.

“Since so-called Democratic Socialists have forgotten or never learned the lessons of history, and how their ideology is incompatible with freedom, I guess we have to remind or teach them,” tweeted Cornyn.

However, the Texas Senator surmised that he may have done something a little bit too smart for Twitter.

Cornyn nailed it on the head with dead-eye accuracy, however. Something that would require, as Ocasio-Cortez puts it, a mobilization of every aspect of American society in order to implement, would essentially make stepping out of bounds from this effort a serious crime. Even if you don’t believe in it, you will be made to believe.

As the Daily Wire, who first reported this story, highlighted in a speech by Ben Shapiro, fascism is an ideology that people believe they can force you to believe as they do at the point of a gun:

What actually is fascism? It’s a term that gets thrown around a lot by people who have never read a book. Fascism is the phenomenon whereby people believe that they have the capacity to ram their beliefs down your throat at the point of a gun or say the point of a baton or by throwing Molotov cocktails. That’s what fascism truly is. Fascism is more of a tactic than it is an ideology. It’s sort of vague in terms of ideology; there are people on the Left who are fascist, people like Stalin, and then you’ve had people who are on the European Right, like Hitler, who was fascist, who was actually closer to the traditional American Left than he would be to the traditional American Right.

Is Ocasio-Cortez a fascist? Well, she certainly would need to be in order to accomplish her Green New Deal, and her “I’m the boss” comments don’t help me make an argument to the contrary.
