It’s pretty clear that no matter what happens, or who calls for it, the infanticidal racist Democrat Governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam, will not step down from his seat.
According to the Associated Press, Northam has indicated that he’s not going anywhere, even as his Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax has had another accuser come forward and say that she was sexually assaulted by Fairfax while attending Duke University. Fairfax has flatly denied the accuser’s claims ever happened.
“I deny this latest unsubstantiated allegation. It is demonstrably false. I have never forced myself on anyone ever,” Fairfax said in a statement.
Despite this, and the controversy surrounding Northam’s appearance in an old photo where two men — one wearing blackface and the other dressed as a klansman — landed the Virginia Governor in hot water. Northam first apologized for the photo, then completely denied he was in the photo altogether.
According to AP, however, despite the tumult and calls for resignation from his own party, Northam said he has no intention to step down as revealed by an anonymous senior official:
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam told top staff Friday that he is not going to resign over a racist photo as another sexual assault accusation was leveled at his lieutenant governor, who would succeed him if he stepped down.
Northam called an afternoon Cabinet meeting to announce his intention to stay, a senior official said. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
With Northam, Fairfax, and Virginia AG Mark Herring — also in hot water over racist pictures from his past — all under pressure to leave their office, the leadership void would be filled by Virginia Republican House Speaker Kirk Cox.
