Ted Cruz Zings Jim Carrey and His Latest Work of "Art" Attacking Him

Just a bit of election day fun for you.

Jim Carrey, like any good Democrat, seems to be a huge fan of Texas Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke. While it’s likely that O’Rourke is going to lose to sitting Republican Senator Ted Cruz, it hasn’t stopped Carrey from cheering the hapless Democrat on with his paintings.

Just for the elections, Carrey painted a work of “art” wherein, what looks vaguely like O’Rourke, is ripping back a curtain allowing sunlight to flood a room where Cruz, caught by the sunlight, is seen burning up like a vampire.

“Go Beto! Go Democrats! Vote like there’s no tomorrow,” said Carrey on Twitter, alongside his unveiled work. “Let’s make this Tuesday like the end of every great vampire movie. Pull back the curtains and let the sunshine turn all those bloodsuckers to dust.”

Carrey, however, probably hasn’t paid much attention to Cruz’s Twitter feed, as the Texas Senator is known to be a bit savage with his responses. Cruz wasn’t willing to make an exception for the coastal-based rich socialist elite.

“Hollywood liberals all in for Beto,” tweeted Cruz, “But (self-described socialist) Jim Carrey made a mistake here: Vampires are dead, and everyone knows the dead vote Democrat….”

And scene.

Cruz’s excellent use of Twitter has won him some serious points as of late. For instance, after a group of O’Rourke fans released a highly cringe-worthy music video denouncing Cruz and promoting O’Rourke, Cruz took to Twitter and promised that if re-elected, he would never produce something so awkward.

That alone may have won Cruz every following election forever.
