Lindsey Graham Roasts the Media Like a Pro, Points Out Why Democrats Are Losing Because of It

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has been savage toward the left as of late, but it’s been, frankly, necessary.

Graham sat down with MSNBC’s Hugh Hewitt, where he noted that he parted ways with President Donald Trump when it comes to calling the media the “enemy of the people,” but pointed out that they are unapologetically leftist, and it has resulted in them acting like complete yahoos over the course of Trump’s presidency.

Graham pointed out that the negative reaction to the Democrats and its media is going to surprise people at the polls:

“Well, one of the things we’ll learn from Kavanaugh is how in the tank the media really is for the other side,” Graham said. “I don’t think they’re the enemy of the people. They’re just allies of the Democratic Party. If a Republican had done to a Democratic nominee what they did to Kavanaugh, it would be front page news everywhere. If Barack Obama’s jobs numbers were anywhere close to what we’re talking about, they would stop the Earth from rotating to make sure everybody heard about it. So the bottom line is it doesn’t work anymore. MSNBC and NBC have become one when it comes to the news cycle. Saturday Night Live is making fun of a guy who lost his eye in Afghanistan. There is a backlash growing in this country from the over the top effort by the left to portray everything conservative as bad and mean and un-American. And we’re going to show up at the polls in record numbers, and we’re going to kick their butt in the Senate, and I think the House is going to surprise people.”

Thing is, Graham may be correct. While the Senate is likely going to stay red, and may even get redder, the House has been something of a hope for Democrats. Polls have been showing Democrats picking up a fair number of seats.

However, a recent Rasmussen poll put Republicans ahead in the congressional race by one point. While this may not seem like a lot, Rasmussen itself points out that the left is typically louder about its voting habits than the right, and that Republicans may be further ahead than many can guess if 2016 was any indication.
