South Park Returns Tomorrow, and Their First Target Is Colin Kaepernick

South Park has been away too long, but tomorrow the show returns, and its about time.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s long-running television series on Comedy Central has always been a brutally honest take on everything from pop-culture to politics, and it looks like they’re bringing their unique brand of comedy back with their newest season.

Their first target? Colin Kaepernick, who has made a name for himself, not for playing football, but for refusing to stand during the national anthem. In a promo released for the season premiere tomorrow, the South Park characters are standing for the National Anthem, but instead launch into a rendition of it about Kaepernick and the police.

“Colin Kaepernick is brave
Cops are pigs, cops are pigs
Wait someone just took my stuff
I need to call the cops
Oh no I just said cops are pigs
Who’s going to help me get my stuff
Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick
He’s not even any good”

Stone and Parker recently voiced their displeasure about Trump and Clinton, calling them “Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich,” and saying they would lean toward Gary Johnson. During this interview, they also pointed out that they have a lot of things to cover this election season, but won’t make politics the show’s primary focus. Nor should they. 2016 is giving us more than enough to make fun of without having to dip into the political world.

But with all the noise 2016 has made with its ridiculousness, this season of South Park is set up to be one of the best ever.
