Ah, the Democrats and the press. They love to hurl the invective that anyone seen as an opponent on the Right is a “Nazi.” Much like their other preferred slander - “racist” - and all the dogwhistles attached, it does not need a direct reference to that hateful ideology to be applied.
Over the years, we have seen and heard all manner of innocent actions and practices accused of being evidence of Third Reich allegiance. Hell, even avowed Jewish individuals, such as White House adviser Stephen Miller, can be called “literally Hitler,” and they are perfectly comfortable doing so.
Then, what are they to do when, desperate as they are for every seat in Congress, one of the frontrunners for an office has more Nazi connections than ever imagined in a Republican?! Well…you find ways to embrace the man, and pretend you are not compromising your values. This is the reality they have, with Graham Platner established as the Deomcrats' hope for the Senate seat in Maine.
As a result, any justification and excuses have been offered up to explain away the deeply problematic examples this guy keeps delivering. It is an amazing evolution to watch playing out in real time.
Then we have a look at the criminal charges brought to State Senator Louise Lucas, the Virginia politician who had multiple offices raided by the FBI this week. The press tried to accuse President Trump of targeting a political rival, but this case has some deeply uncomfortable details for the press.
Then lastly, there are supposedly some dramatic changes to the White House ballroom construction, except the press outrage is another example of the journalists failing to do some very basic investigations into the details.
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.

The Bulwark crew is working hard to legitimize Platner and minimize his Nazi evidence.
Those dolts are even going so far as to suggest Platner is presidential material for 2028.
Almost the entire press corps is struggling with how to platform Platner.
Sam Stein is suggesting that Louise Lucas being targeted by the DOJ was related to the Virginia redistricting, and not the two-year investigation into fraud.
Others in the press have been equally unable to figure out this was not related to the VA voting map.
Aaron Blake is pushing the lie that Trump’s ballroom now will cost $1 billion. The fact is that is the segregated expense, for the DOW, to build the security bunker for the White House.
