The Alex Padilla grandstanding move to crash a Kristi Noem press conference had the Democrats and the press lurching for relevance on the episode. It became a comical mess. The clearly set-up affair was dramatized by just about every Democrat, and the press played along with any hyper-dramatic reading on the issue.
With Flag Day arriving there was a desperate attempt by the Democrats to “reclaim” the Stars & Stripes, and Politico was there to lend the PR support on their behalf. Critical analysis was, as expected, completely absent.
And then in the wake of the Los Angeles riots we were served more fractured reporting on the ICE detainment efforts, and as has been the common case these are largely facts-fee histrionics.
Now, crack one open and savor some outmoded media malpractice and misinformation.
