For this latest entry, we look at the late-night talk sphere. Jon Stewart has returned to “The Daily Show” (part-time) and he has rankled many on the left by daring to notice that Joe Biden at 81 years is…old.
GASP!
Then we have Stephen Colbert, who was so incensed with Donald Trump he whipped off his glasses in order to rage at the camera about…Trump. Someone needs to remind Stephen this show is not his therapy session, and people who manage to tune in are expecting this curious item – comedy.
And to add to the mayhem, there was John Oliver launching his new season of “This Week Tonight” with a closing segment where he offered SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas a $1 million annual stipend as well as the keys to a brand new $2.5 million motor coach if he would just step down from the bench. Ah, proposing to purchase a black man; how very progressive of you, Mr. Oliver.
Additionally, there is a new “book ban” hysteria in New Jersey, and we found a deeply partisan dose of coverage from a local news outlet. We also look at how the media wants to praise Joe Biden for falling gas prices, all while ignoring this was achieved by him going against his biggest green energy pledge. Then for chuckles we’ll check in on Tucker Carlson as he was on his Russian visit and became completely impressed by the Russian shopping carts.
