Your source to mainline malarky and malpractice seen in the mainstream media.
It was January, one year ago, when I took a look forward at the state of the media and speculated that for the year approaching, the press was at a point where it needed to address its severely broken foundation. This year, I look back over that timeframe to assess what had transpired. There is plenty of wreckage.
For this episode, I gathered up several examples where a problem was spotted across the media landscape. Rather than select instances with journalists or specific sources acting up, I point out issues seen across multiple outlets and/or taking place repeatedly throughout the year.
There is a white supremacist paradox that emerged, rampant denial in the face of mounting evidence, a complete turnaround regarding once-protected entities, an outbreak of Hitler talk, and plenty of issues involving the Israel-Hamas war breaking out. It is all ridiculous; none of it is pretty, but some of it is pretty funny.
Now crack open your leftover champagne and savor some mainstream media mayhem from the past year!
