Well, this has been yet another example of the press spinning out of control in 2023, as we predicted on this very podcast. The presence of a Chinese spy balloon has seen the press become little more than a hive of distemper. Last week on a daily basis we saw their narratives dissolve and then change, all in an effort to shield Jose Biden from sheer embarrassment. That it has not worked out for them has become patently obvious.
To go along with that there was a new effort to slam Ron DeSantis and amazingly it involved lying about an accurate Associated Press fact-check. (Though the AP did play a bit of a game with its headline.) Also, there was a new revelation about the January 6 Committee finding evidence of government foreknowledge of the Capitol riot, they just did not see a reason to share this information with anyone.
There was also some slanted coverage of the House Committee assignments melodrama (those poor Dems getting payback) and Joy Reid takes a curious victory lap over a Satanic awards show.
Now crack one open and savor some mainstream media malpractice and miscalculations.
