ACLU Claims Trump Said WHAT Word Too Much in the SOTU?!

There are those moments when you cannot parody and ridicule those on the political extreme, as they resist the effort by exceeding the asinine exaggerations with their earnest idiocy. Case in point: President Trump’s State Of The Union address is being criticized — for referencing the Union too much.

In a complaint that defies both logic and satire the ACLU has issued a press release following the SOTU, where the organization takes the President to task for uttering the name of our nation excessively:

Tonight, President Trump said the word ‘America’ more than 80 times in his speech. Yet, after a divisive first year, we hear and feel how exclusionary that ‘America’ is, with policies that have harmed so many vulnerable American communities. The ACLU stands ready to protect these communities, both in the courts and at the polls.

So — In America when the President of America addresses Americans, on the status and condition of America, he should refrain from saying “America”, because non-Americans can deem that as exclusionary to anyone NOT American.

That is the warped logic from the oppressively named AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union. A group ostensibly tasked with upholding our Constitutional rights takes exception with the President focusing exclusively on our nation — in his speech to the nation mandated to be given, by that same Constitution.

This now-ironically titled organization is visibly upset because of how those people not granted rights and protections under the Constitution may feel, as President Trump directed his speech at those who in fact are granted thus; you know, citizens. The audacity of an American President addressing Americans cannot be measured, because it does not exist — unless you dispatch common sense entirely. The ACLU has done exactly that.

Also in the press release the group says, “We will continue to stand up for these young immigrants…” That is to say, the focus will be upon those who are not legally entitled to the very civil liberties outlined in the group’s name. It is only through this fractured prism that a President speaking to Americans can be viewed as “exclusionary”.

Given the new triggering standard applied to the name of our nation I assume therefore it is just a matter of time before the ACLU re-brands itself to a more acceptable title.

“Foreigner Under-entitled Charter and Undocumented Procurement Service” seems rather apt.

Makes for a catchy acronym as well.
