Jamaal Bowman Shows Up on CNN, Delivers 'Can't Believe He Said That' Moment

CNN sure has a way when it comes to picking which left-wingers to put on-air. While their right-wing analysts, including Scott Jennings and Shermichael Singleton, are largely well-spoken and insightful, when it comes to finding Democrats to counter those voices, things often go off the rails.

The inclusion of Joy Reid and Cornell West on primetime panels over the last week perfectly illustrated that, and you don't need to go watch a single moment of what they said to understand. All you need is this screengrab, which captures the delusional rage of the left in stunning detail.

So yeah, it was a banner week for CNN (that's also regarding its terrible reporting, but that's for another article), and the producers over there weren't done. On Wednesday evening, the decision was made to bring Jamaal Bowman on, and that went about as you'd expect given his past.

BOWMAN: You can't be calm about this! I'm a black man in America! The reason why heart disease and cancer and obesity, and diabetes are bigger in the black community is because of the stress we carry from having to deal with being called the n-word directly or indirectly every day! If your colleagues would listen and try to learn and engage, and grow, and stop being so hateful, we could have a better country! But unfortunately, we're still here!

That level of deranged victimhood being spouted by Bowman in that clip is a truly sight to behold. The reason for high levels of heart disease, cancer, and diabetes in the black community is objectively because of high levels of obesity related to eating habits, not because of "stress" from "being called the n-word directly or indirectly every day." That's not to say racism doesn't still exist in some forms, but there is no evidence to suggest that black people are walking around so terrified of being victims of racism that they aren't able to control themselves.

This kind of infantilization of the black community is not only stupid and dishonest, but it's harmful. It is not healthy for people to see themselves as perpetual victims. That's true even if they have suffered hardship at some points in their life, and to be sure, hardship is not relegated only to certain races. Further, I don't think most black people would agree with Bowman's assessment. Instead, this kind of rhetoric largely originates only with the most privileged within the black community because they see victimhood as currency to raise their profiles. It's insidious because, in doing so, they are holding others back from climbing the ladder. Ask yourself, who have activists like Al Sharpton ever helped but themselves? And what has Bowman ever done but pursue his own selfish political goals?

Yet, because outlets like CNN exist, clowns like Bowman continue to be elevated despite their sordid history of ridiculous behavior and rhetoric. Remember, we are talking about a guy who pleaded guilty to pulling a fire alarm in the Capitol to try to obstruct Congress. This is not a person to be taken seriously.
