Are you ready for more Kamala Harris? You'd think suffering one of the most embarrassing election defeats in modern history would send her into retirement, but hubris is a funny thing. Harris is kicking off her comeback tour late Wednesday evening, and a calculated media push is already underway.
Speaking at the "Emerge Gala," which I didn't know existed, the former vice president and failed 2024 presidential candidate will reportedly deliver a "scathing critique" of President Donald Trump. Democrats have a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell.

This is Kamala’s first major speech since she left office. Her speech includes her scathing critique on Trump’s 100 days in office. She does not plan to hold back! pic.twitter.com/cJbdzcszjb
Oh no! She's not going to hold back! Trump is surely finished now!
Can someone explain this to me? On what planet is Harris a viable politician at this point? We are talking about a woman who stepped into a presidential race with every built-in advantage, including a subservient press and a billion dollars in the war chest. Yet, she not only lost, she got blown out electorally, with Trump even besting her in the popular vote, something that seemed improbable until it happened. That's how bad a candidate she was.
According to one of Harris' former senior advisors, though, "there is a clamoring for her voice." No, this isn't a parody.

Yes, there is such an organic clamoring for the former vice president's voice that this former senior advisor wouldn't go on the record to say it. That's absolutely hilarious. Why would this person need anonymity? Is promoting Kamala Harris classified or something?
As to the idea that "no one can better prosecute the case" against Trump, I think there's ample evidence that's not true. That includes some new empirical data in the form of a poll put out by Emerson College, one of the more accurate pollsters in 2024.
Fascinating result from the @EmersonCollege poll released today. Voters were asked:

"Knowing what you now know, if you could go back in time to the 2024 election," would you vote for Trump, Harris or someone else?
The result:
Trump: 48
Harris: 47
Other: 5https://t.co/VrT6PRRi5i
Despite all the attacks on Trump and the economic issues currently playing out, Americans would still vote for him over Harris if given the chance. That makes the case better than anything, that she's still the same awful politician she's always been. There is no clamoring for her voice. There is only a desire for her to go away and not come back.
With that said, we'll see what she has to say during her big speech. I'm sure it'll be just as grating as every other public appearance she's ever made, and we may just get a few newsworthy soundbites.
