Democrat NY City Councilwoman Gets Roasted for Asking Why Men Aren't Defending Women From Crime

New York City Council Member Amanda Farias learned what a social media ratio looks like on Thursday after getting roasted to a crisp for asking why men aren't defending women amidst increased attacks. Farias asked, "Where are the men calling this out" while quoting a post from New York City's "Women's Caucus" decrying the "alarming trend of violence against women."

As my colleague Brandon Morse explained, the original post from the "Women's Caucus" was completely tone-deaf, ignoring that their social justice policies are largely responsible for the current crisis.

Farias' attempt at piggybacking on their demands was the perfect setup for others to respond with some inconvenient facts.

This is what's so insane about the left's anti-masculine movement. On the one hand, they want men to intervene on their behalf, standing against career criminals who threaten and attack women. On the other hand, they don't want men to do masculine things like actually defending women in the event they are being threatened or attacked. Can you blame the average male New Yorker for going about his business instead of locking arms with the "Women's Caucus?"

Farias should make up her mind. Does she want men to act like men and defend women, or does she want men to be thrown in prison for acting like men and defending women? The case against Daniel Penny perfectly encapsulates that disconnect. While on a New York City subway, he witnessed a large man lunging at and threatening physical violence to women and children. As a veteran with a sense of duty, he stepped up and subdued the career criminal, who was accidentally killed in the process. Penny is now facing decades behind bars at the behest of people like Farias.

A couple of decades ago, it would have been understood that a criminal trying to harm women and children risks death if someone intervenes. That was part of the deterrent of not engaging in such activity. Now, these career criminals know they can do whatever they want and no one will try to stop them because the good guy in the situation is more likely to be prosecuted than the bad guy.

I'm not suggesting men go around and form vigilante mobs that kill anyone committing assault. I am suggesting that in the event an assault is happening and a brave man decides to intervene, the assailant should not expect to be protected. If the criminal in question doesn't like the risk he's taking, then they can try not assaulting people.

In short, Farias and the rest of her far-left social justice friends should sit all the way down. They have no right to demand anything from men after creating an environment that criminalizes masculinity and the protection of others. They wanted this, and they are getting it.
