James Comey Expresses His Sheer Terror Over a Republican Possibly Winning in 2024

Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey did another friendly interview on Sunday, this time with MSNBC “journalist” Jen Psaki. You may recall that Psaki infamously negotiated her move to the liberal network while still serving as the White House press secretary.

During their exchanges, Comey said some interesting things, including expressing his sheer terror over the possibility of a Republican winning in 2024.

When asked if he’d vote for Joe Biden or whether he’d entertain any of the Republican candidates, Comey didn’t even bother mincing words. According to him, “It has to be Joe Biden.” Why? Because apparently, the only guy who can be trusted to uphold the law and constitution is the one guy who has consistently flaunted the law and constitution.

This is real galaxy-brain stuff.

Joe Biden has been slapped down by the US Supreme Court numerous times for trying to push illegal executive orders. From the eviction moratorium to the administration’s attempted COVID vaccine mandate, few presidents have managed to find themselves on the wrong side of legality as often as the current one.

Yet, according to Comey, Biden is a great respecter of the law and constitution. We all know that’s nonsense, and I’d suspect even Comey himself does. Unfortunately, he’s become so compromised, largely by his own corrupt actions, that his only choice is to throw in fully with the Democratic Party. That’s not the former FBI director taking some principled stand. Rather, it’s one of self-preservation in the face of those he’s wronged.

Comey essentially admits that in another exchange. Psaki asks him about the possibility of Donald Trump winning the White House in 2024. Here’s what he had to say.

Yes, I can think about what four years of a retribution presidency might look like, and I’m not seeing the problem with it. Here’s the thing that Comey needs to understand, even as he’s obviously too arrogant and self-righteous to grasp it. There would be no need for a “retribution presidency” if he and his cohorts hadn’t spent years taking actions that now demand retribution.

It’s a very simple math problem. Don’t be corrupt and weaponize the government for political reasons, ultimately influencing the outcome of a major election if you don’t want the other party to take power and strike back. Comey wants to play by two different sets of rules. That’s just not how this works. If Trump or any number of the current Republican candidates (maybe not Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, or Asa Hutchinson, who I’d suspect would fold) take the White House, they would be remiss to not launch investigations and prosecute those who abused their power.

That’s what Comey is afraid of. He doesn’t believe Biden respects the rule of law. He just thinks Biden will leave him and his cohorts alone. On that point, he’s correct, and it’s another reason why the current president must be denied a second term.
