Wednesday’s House hearing on Big Tech went viral for its explosive exchanges, including one between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and ex-Twitter censor Yoel Roth.

But Rep. Nancy Mace also delivered some shocking news, revealing she is still suffering from what she describes as a COVID-19 vaccine injury. According to Mace, she developed asthma, heart pain, and tremors following her second dose and now regrets getting it.

RedState’s sister site, Townhall, transcribed some of the exchange.

I, along with many Americans, have long-term effects from COVID,” Mace revealed. “Not only was I a long hauler, but I have effects from the vaccine. It wasn’t the first shot, but it was the second shot that I now developed asthma that has never gone away since the second shot. I have tremors in my left hand and I have the occasional heart pain that no doctor can explain and I’ve had a battery of tests. I find it extremely alarming [that] Twitter’s unfettered censorship spread into medical fields and affected many Americans by suppressing expert opinions from doctors and censoring those who disagree with the CDC.

Mace used that as a jumping-off point to roast Yoel Roth, Vijaya Gadde, and the rest of the former Twitter top dogs tapped as witnesses, noting that none of them had the medical expertise to decide what was or wasn’t “disinformation” regarding COVID-19. Still, Twitter’s censors waged a war against anyone who dared to question the conventional wisdom, even when the conventional wisdom was so obviously wrong (i.e. mask efficacy and the lab leak theory).

Later during her questioning, Mace confronted Gadde about whether the government directed Twitter to remove content. She answered in the affirmative.

The wiggle room there will be that Twitter didn’t have to listen to the government’s demands, but that’s a ridiculously corrupt way to look at the situation. When the federal government, with all its unlimited resources, makes a legal threat, people tend to respond to avoid further litigation. In this case, while I’m not absolving the old Twitter regime of what they did, it was obviously easier to just remove posts than go to court.

Still, figures like Roth and Gadde are far-left activists, and they were no doubt happy to oblige outside of just avoiding a legal confrontation. That makes them culpable. As to Mace, given the immense pressure (including by some on the right) to never speak ill of the COVID-19 vaccines, I have to give her credit here for speaking up. She could have kept quiet, but she shared her story and then used it to show just how wrong and harmful Twitter’s actions were.
