I guess a lack of self-awareness comes with the onset of dementia.

Joe Biden is currently in the throes of an ever-escalating firestorm around a sexual assault allegation made by his former staffer, Tara Reade. New evidence has emerged, including multiple people confirming she told them of the incident in the 1990s. There’s also now video of Reade’s mother calling in to Larry King in 1993 to ask about how to report misconduct within Senate offices.

To put it lightly, Biden can’t run anymore. So what’s he do? Appoint a guy who once made a “waitress sandwich” and rubbed his private parts on a woman against her will with the now-deceased Sen. Ted Kennedy.

Before history is rewritten, and you know it will be, Dodd and Kennedy didn’t deny the event happened. Instead, they blamed it on immaturity. Of course, Dodd was 41 years old at the time, so citing youthful transgressions doesn’t exactly pass the smell test.

This seems like the perfect guy to put in the spotlight in the middle of being accused of sexual assault, right?

Perhaps it’s a sign of just how brazen and arrogant the Democrats have become. They truly believe they can get away with anything, and would you blame them for coming to that conclusion? It’s now been five weeks since Reade told her story and Biden has taken over 100 questions from the media. Not a single “journalist” has asked him about the alleged incident. But they are such a vital part of our society, I’m assured.

Last night, we saw even MSNBC push the allegations against Biden (though the left lost their minds in response). The Post also called for him to address it directly yesterday. Things are reaching critical mass. Biden can’t run anymore. He’s going to have to come out and call this woman a liar, and that will not go well for him. I won’t go quite out on a limb yet and predict he’s doomed, but man is he getting close to that point.
