Carrie Underwood performed the Christian hymn “How Great Thou Art” on Easter Sunday on national TV, and it was unforgettable as she showed glory to Jesus.

At one point, the camera panned to the judges, who appeared to be just as moved by the performance as the audience.

Social media users noted that they got goosebumps, chills, and more listening to Underwood share the powerful words.

“Saving Queen @carrieunderwood Awesome Performance of ‘How Great Thou Art’ for last Awesome Easter Treat,” one person wrote.  "I hope Carrie and Her Fans had a awesome Easter #CUonIDOL.”

Another added, “On Easter Sunday, a Christian hymn echoed across national broadcast television. In a time of division, this was a radically beautiful reminder of what still anchors so many in this country.”

While a third continued, “Carrie Underwood singing HOW GREAT THOU ART on @AmericanIdol last night was HEAVENLY!!! She gave her all and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!”

And a fourth added:

Whew, gave me goosies!!.. She just blew the roof of that place!  This song and her voice, nothing will ever top it!

Absolutely beautiful!

Her performance was part of a three-hour-long faith-centered show in which singers like CeCe Winans, Brandon Lake, “American Idol" alum Roman Collins, country star Jelly Roll, along with the 20 contestants, performed worship and gospel songs in primetime on Easter Sunday, the Christian Post noted.

The “American Idol” faith-focused show comes at a time when audiences seem to be sending the message to Hollywood for stories and shows about faith.

One example of that is the success of Angel Studios' new animated biblical movie “King of Kings."

Going into its second weekend, the movie remained in the top 5 at the box office, coming in second place behind the monster hit “A Minecraft Movie.”

“Very few films in the history of cinema perform like this in theaters,” Brandon Purdie, Global Head of Theatrical Distribution & Brand Development at Angel Studios, said, per a press release obtained by RedState. “This kind of momentum isn’t tied to a date on the calendar—it’s driven by the power of the story."

“‘The King of Kings’” delivers on every level: epic, emotional, and made for the big screen,” he added. “A film like this could thrive any weekend of the year, because when you bring the greatest story ever told to life with this kind of scope, theaters make room—and audiences show up. At Angel, it’s always been about the audience. And right now, they’re speaking loud and clear—they’re flocking to theaters.”

"King of Kings" had earned $19 million with the studio announcing a projected $6.6M ahead of the Easter holiday weekend, bringing its estimated box office cume to $34,693,552, the release noted.

The studio also said the movie is “poised for a long theatrical run” and had increased its screen count nationally to 3,535 screens.
