Something is just not right here.
Yesterday, Joe Biden did an interview on ABC’s ‘This Week’ in which he produced a world salad so bad that it’ll leave you wondering whether all those rumors about replacing him on the ticket are real. The following clip has not been manipulated. It’s real and if it doesn’t leave you questioning the former VP’s ability to function, you are being willfully blind.
Joe Biden: “We cannot let this, we’ve never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to the pandemic of 17, all the way around, 16, we have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle, way they, we can both have a democracy and … correct the public health.” pic.twitter.com/Ymz8JtQvjH

Keep in mind, this is after Biden hadn’t appeared on TV for several days. He’s been at home, not exhaustively crisscrossing the country via campaign events. There’s no reason for him to be “tired” or any other more mundane explainer for why he goes so off the rails here. After his continual gaffes and general inability to process his thoughts, there’s also no question that his handlers are doing everything they can to fix this.
Yet, they can’t. He still ends up missing the date of the Spanish flu twice. He slurs his words and can’t process what he’s trying to say multiple times. Remember, this is not a five-minute clip, it’s only 21 seconds. What happens when he has to get back on the trail in late summer? Worse for him, what happens when he has to debate?
As RedState’s streiff shared yesterday, Biden’s clear mental lapses are becoming an issue that’s undeniable.
Partisanship aside, Joe Biden is obviously suffering from a staggering mental decline. He is barely lucid or aware. If the Democrats want him as their candidate, I’m certainly fine with it, but let’s not pretend any longer. Joe Biden is not up to the rigors of the campaign trail and certainly not up to the rigors of the presidency. The failure of the national media to cover his obvious unsuitability is just one more example of how our national media have stopped reporting news and have become junior members of the Democrat coalition.
But perhaps even concerns about the campaign trail are too short-sighted. What happens if this guy is actually elected president? The fact is that we don’t know how the public will react to Trump’s handling of the Wuhan virus. A poll that says something today could be different a month from now, let alone the actual election results. Anyone telling you Biden “has no chance” is being as naive as Democrats were in 2016.
Point being, it’s scary to think about how much of a puppet Biden would be for whatever “advisors” he surrounds himself with, which will no doubt be a “greatest hits” of the Obama administration. That has disaster written all over it. For the sake of the country, I hope it doesn’t come to that.
