Well, I tried to tell them it’s time to shut down his public appearances, didn’t I?

Joe Biden decided to do a “virtual happy hour” yesterday, in which the almost 80 year old man who’s showing signs of dementia was supposed to really connect with the young folk. There were some cringe moments, because there’s always cringe moments when Biden speaks, but there was another more overarching laughable moment as well.

Namely, that he only garnered 2800 simultaneous viewers to the event.

You can just feel the excitement

Let’s also note that the above CBS “reporter” is describing that pitiful viewership as “lit” because journalism and stuff. You could throw up a YouTube video watching paint dry and probably garner more than 2800 views. This is a major presidential candidate we are talking about.

So how was this low attended “round table” received by those who did watch it? Not very well.

Who disables comments on a campaign event stream? Isn’t interaction and participation the entire point? But Biden isn’t a regular candidate. He’s really just this bad at campaigning, as evidenced by this flub during the event.

We are going to find out in November whether having the excitement levels of a hot dog eating contest matter or not, because Biden’s inability to bring any spark to the table is obvious. I mean, how is it even possible that a guy with 4.5M followers on Twitter can’t get more than 2800 viewers for a live stream?

Perhaps a mountain of mainstream media fluffing and orange man bad reporting will make up for it? I’m skeptical though, especially given the fact that Biden can’t go two sentences without losing his train of thought or making a gaffe.
