Joe Biden’s campaign is becoming a comedy of errors as gaffe after gaffe continues to pile up.
It’s gotten so bad that some of his behind the scenes support are wanting him to cut back on public appearances. To put that in perspective, we are over a year away from the election and his allies are already suggesting he scale back his campaign activities. That’s pretty astonishing given the relative lack of events his done to this point.
Before those calls for change could even be considered, Biden was at it again.
Another Biden gaffe: "You had over 40 kids shot at Kent State on a beautiful lawn by the National Guard," @JoeBiden said.
In actuality, 4 were killed and 9 others injured. https://t.co/ssH1urFonT

“Things changed,” he added. “You had over 40 kids shot at Kent State on a beautiful lawn by the National Guard.”
However, Biden’s claim about the Kent State shooting is not accurate, as four students were killed and nine others injured when members of the Ohio National Guard opened fire on a crowd gathered for a protest.
This wasn’t just a small flub. He missed the number by 29 people.

These just aren’t the kinds of mistakes that good campaigners keep making. You literally can’t go 12 hours without Biden screwing something up and when your entire shtick for running is that you are the steady hand, that doesn’t help make the case. Things are getting to the point where he’s making so many gaffes that we can’t keep up with them all here at RedState.
Case in point, in the time between me calendaring this piece and finishing it up, Biden forgot where he was again.

I really don’t know how long he can keep this up.
This is also going to play into his opponents’ hands within the Democratic primary. There comes a point where voters are going to say “is this worth the risk?” The last thing you want running against Donald Trump is someone who will continually hand him ammunition to turn the tables. On paper, Biden is the strongest candidate. In reality, he may be one of the weakest. I’m not confident enough to say that definitively yet, but this should be very worrying to the left.
