Days after the Los Angeles mayoral election closed, mail-in ballots kept pouring in, and they all seemed to work in favor of Democratic Socialist City Councilwoman Nithya Raman. Eventually, fire victim Spencer Pratt — a registered Republican who ran as an independent in the non-partisan race — fell to third and did not make the general election in November. Raman will now face off against another far-left candidate, incumbent (and failed) Mayor Karen Bass.
Funny how that works in the Golden State.
As our Ben Smith reported Tuesday, Pratt has not just gone home and hidden under the sheets — he’s continuing to fight for change in the city and the state that he loves, despite its growing list of shortcomings. As Smith wrote:
Pratt announced Tuesday that he is launching The WAR Foundation, a new effort aimed at exposing corruption, failed leadership, and the network of politicians and nonprofit operators he says are profiting while California cities fall apart.
Following that video, however, another interesting development arose late on Tuesday. What does it mean? What did they talk about? Why is Pratt posting it now? (Is it even real?)
You see, Pratt and what appears to be his son were President Donald Trump’s guests at the Oval Office. Since Trump is in Turkey attending the NATO summit, it’s unclear when this photo was taken.
But it’s a priceless snap:

It’s unclear who the two men are with their backs to the camera, but the woman on the left side of the photo appears to be White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. If that is indeed Pratt’s son on the right, that kid is going to have a memory that will last a lifetime.
‼️ WHOA! @spencerpratt just posted a photo of himself and his son sitting in the Oval Office meeting with President Trump and apparently @SusieWiles47

Something’s brewing!
With the LA mayoral race, God may have closed a small window… and opened a much bigger door. https://t.co/QUOVgYdjhj
Pratt has stayed busy:
Spencer Pratt’s WAR Foundation Puts Los Angeles’ Political Class on Notice
Spencer Pratt Torches NYC Mayor Mamdani in New Viral Takedown
The former reality star has not released further details about the meeting. As we covered extensively, Pratt struck a chord with LA residents who were tired of seeing the seemingly purposeful decline of the City of Angels. Although he had no prior political experience, he quickly garnered a grassroots groundswell of support from all walks of life, and his campaign went viral.
The former “The Hills” star ran an anti-establishment campaign that relied heavily on social media, viral videos and criticism of city leaders over issues including homelessness, public safety and the response to the devastating Palisades fire.
He released a series of viral videos portraying him as a political outsider fighting to “save” Los Angeles, while AI-generated clips created by Pratt’s supporters depicted him as a superhero-like figure battling incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Although some of the fantastic videos came from the campaign itself, numerous others by content creators created a buzz in the city that we haven’t seen in decades.

Clearly, folks not living in California also paid attention, and Donald Trump took notice. I am very curious indeed to see what, if anything, came out of this meeting and what Pratt’s next move is.
Keep fighting, Spencer — you may have lost the primary, but you’re still winning.
Editor’s Note: Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and the “progressives” are ruining California.
