I Thought This Stuff Didn't Happen? LA Woman Cuts Plea Deal After Paying Homeless to Register to Vote

Our elections are perfect; there is no fraud, and we don’t need to pay attention to such things because they don’t exist.

At least, that’s what the Democrats will tell you as they do everything in their power to stop the SAVE America Act, which would require you to provide an ID to vote, and they scoff at any attempts to ensure election integrity.

How will they explain this, though, I wonder:

Yes, a 64-year-old woman was paying homeless people to register in federal elections, and now she’s agreeing to a plea deal with the Department of Justice. According to a statement on the DOJ official website Monday, her name is Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong, but she’s known as “Anika,” and she faces up to five years in the clink:

A California woman who worked as a longtime signature collector for ballot initiatives has been charged with paying individuals – including homeless people living in the Skid Row area of downtown Los Angeles – to register to vote.

“False registrations undermine Americans’ faith in elections – even more so when payoffs are involved,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “This Justice Department is committed to ensuring that all U.S. elections are fair and free from illegal meddling – so that all Americans can accept the results with confidence.”

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon appeared Monday with First Assistant U.S. Attorney (Central District of CA) Bill Essayli to detail the deal at a press conference, saying that Armstrong faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $10,000.

As we’ve reported, O’Keefe Media Group founder James O’Keefe and Turning Point USA’s Savanah Hernandez both sent down teams to DTLA to document the fraud openly occurring on the streets.

BREAKING NEWS: JAMES O'KEEFE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DOJ INDICTMENT OF ELECTION FRAUDSTER IN LOS ANGELES, CA

Brenda Brown, the Skid Row election petitioner O’Keefe Media caught on hidden camera has pleaded “GUILTY.”

Election Fraudster Brenda Brown has been charged with:

5 years in prison

3 years of supervised release

Fine of $10,000

ARRESTS & ACCOUNTABILITY!

According to the plea deal, Brown has agreed to numerous stipulations, including, among other things, giving up the right to indictment by a grand jury, pleading guilty to a single-count information, and not contesting facts agreed to in the deal.

Armstrong admitted that she’d been a “petition circulator” for over 20 years, meaning she collected signatures for ballot measures and then turned them into her coordinators for cash. However, she only got paid if the signing was done by a registered voter — so in 2025, she started setting up shop in Downtown LA’s notorious Skid Row to pay people to register. Of course, many of these homeless people didn’t have an actual address:

Because California automatically sends a vote-by-mail ballot to every registered voter, this also meant ballots in some homeless individuals’ names could have the potential to be sent to Armstrong’s former residence where the homeless individual did not live or collect mail.

On Jan. 30, as part of her ongoing scheme, Armstrong knowingly and willfully paid another person to register to vote. She paid the person for the purpose of causing that person to register to vote in federal elections.

The FBI and investigators with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California investigated this matter.

I guess this stuff never happens — except when it does.

Editor’s Note: Republicans are fighting for election integrity by requiring proper identification to vote.
