Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson's funeral was held on Friday, and numerous familiar faces were in attendance, including former President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary, former President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, and former President Barack Obama and... (checks notes)... no partner.
Hmm.
Not surprisingly, since the reverend was a figure revered by the Left, there were moments where it felt more like a DNC convention than the proper celebration of the man’s life and contributions to the world. Whether you’re a fan of Jackson or not, there’s no denying his consequential impact on society.
Obama can always be counted on to divide and stir up resentment, and so he thought this would be a good occasion to trash his political adversaries. There’s nowhere better than a funeral to make inflammatory speeches, right?

We see science and expertise denigrated while ignorance and dishonesty and cruelty and corruption are reaping untold rewards.
Every single day we see that, and it's hard to hope.
Seems like a strange thing to say, considering he was speaking at the House of Hope in Chicago.
It was an unbelievably angry and vile speech by the Great Uniter, especially considering it was delivered at a funeral.
My first question would be, where’s Michelle? The increasingly bitter former First Lady couldn’t be bothered to show up at the ceremony for an African-American civil rights icon?
I don’t care about her relationship with her husband, but for someone who was all too recently hailed by the press as the greatest first lady ever and graced countless magazine covers, this to me is a bad, bad look.
And just when we thought we didn’t have to listen to Joe Biden anymore, there he was, misrepresenting facts and hurling accusations.
Here, he rages about supposed villains making fun of his stuttering, when the reality is that it was never about his stuttering. It was about his inability to put together a coherent sentence.

It was hard to discern whether he said "than most of you" or "most of them," but either way, I don't know what it has to do with civil rights or Jesse Jackson.

As cringeworthy as many of the moments were, I have to reluctantly give credit to Bill Clinton — although his address was predictably long-winded, he spoke lovingly of the reverend and reminisced about his life, not partisan politics. You can read his remarks here.
That being said, there was a plethora of nauseating moments brought to us courtesy of the Democrat party, and they showed once again why so many people have lost faith in them entirely.
