FBI's Wiles/Patel Spying Scandal Reportedly Gets Even Worse With New Revelation About Who Was Recorded

On Wednesday, FBI Director Kash Patel made the bombshell revelation that the Federal Bureau of Investigation spied on both him and now-White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles in 2022 and 2023. Former President Joe Biden occupied the Oval Office at the time, and Patel and Wiles were both private citizens.

It was all part of the mission by Biden, his crusading Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Garland’s attack dog, former Special Counsel Jack Smith, to “get” Trump at any cost.

Ten agents were reportedly fired in the aftermath of the discovery, and more could soon be on their way out as well.

Wiles reportedly told associates, “I am in shock." I would be too.

Now, the story gets worse. Turns out they didn’t just get her phone records, they reportedly listened in on her calls — including one when she was talking to her lawyer.

It’s just a quick line in a Reuters story, but it’s eye-opening [emphasis mine]:

Reuters could not independently establish what records the FBI obtained or who approved the subpoenas. The news agency also couldn’t ascertain if Patel or Wiles themselves were under investigation and, if so, why. Both were close to Trump during this period, as he built toward and ultimately launched his campaign to reclaim the presidency in 2024.

Both Patel and Wiles were known to have been interviewed by investigators as part of Smith’s investigation into Trump’s retention of classified documents following his first term.

In 2023, the FBI recorded a phone call between Wiles and her attorney, according to two FBI officials. Wiles' attorney was aware that the call was being recorded, and consented to it, but Susie Wiles was not.

According to Axios' Trump White House Reporter Marc Caputo, the lawyer who Reuters says knew about the spying vigorously denies it. Caputo would not reveal the attorney’s name because they feel they’re being unfairly accused.

Here’s what the lawyer told me: “If I ever pulled a stunt like that I wouldn’t – and shouldn’t – have a license to practice law. I’m as shocked as Susie.”

What a story — a tale of draconian overreach and no accountability at the top of the Biden Justice Department. Whenever the Left talks about Trump, they bring up fascism, but I bet they’ll suddenly find themselves tongue-tied when these oppressive tactics are brought up.

We’ll just have to wait for the facts to get sorted out in this developing story, but it’s already clear that the Biden administration ran roughshod over the concept of ethical behavior in their maniacal quest to bring down Trump.

Editor’s Note: The endless lawfare against Donald Trump was emblematic of the banana republic Biden regime.
