California Gov. Gavin “French Laundry” Newsom is coming off his appearance at the Munich Security conference in Germany, where he spent his time in the spotlight bashing America while on foreign soil. Instead of dealing with the festering disaster that is the Golden State — bedeviled by homelessness, a DOA wildfire recovery, the wealthy leaving with their taxpayer dollars over fear of a possible five percent wealth tax, and more — he’s off cosplaying as a world leader.
Although there are very few good things that have happened under his leadership, he somehow finds himself atop the polls as the next Democratic presidential candidate.
Despite his popularity, however, he may have a weak point that could come back to haunt him during election season: his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom. Simply put, she’s not good at this. Like him, she is telegenic, but when given a microphone, she is often beyond cringe.
As our Sister Toldjah reported Wednesday, the sanctimonious Mrs. Newsom — who terms herself the "First Partner," a gag-me-with-a-spoon term the woke couple evidently came up with — did not impress when she scolded a bunch of female reporters.
Talking about one of her favorite subjects, abortion, Jennifer told the scribes they weren’t excited enough about terminating pregnancies:
So, it's just fascinating we have this incredible women's caucus, and incredible allies, and you're not asking about it. This happens over and over and over and over again. You wonder why we have such a horrific war on women in this country, and that these guys are getting away with it. And you don't seem to care. So I just offer that — with love.
Bitter, much? Also, since you’re talking about a supposed war on women, did you ask your husband why he allows boys to play against — and injure — girls in school athletics?

Should Gavin make headway in the Democrat primaries, Jennifer's history is sure to be scrutinized:

Just to give you a little idea of who Jennifer Siebel Newsom is, moments after Gavin was caught having an affair with his campaign manager’s wife, Jenn attempted to slut shame the aide and then sought advice on damage control from Harvey Weinstein two years AFTER she would claim he sexually assaulted her.
The scolding of reporters moment, however, wasn’t her only recent foray into revealing just how disconnected from reality she is; there was also this interview released Wednesday by Bloomberg’s The Circuit. It's frankly comical watching the private-school-educated daughter of a wealthy investment banker who lives in one of the most expensive zip codes in the United States lamenting that wealthy Californians are becoming “out of touch” with the real world.

The Newsoms are estimated to be worth as much as $30 million, so is she talking about herself? I'm not a fan of class warfare, but if there's anyone you can smell the entitlement and privilege wafting off of, it's this glittery couple.
I bear no ill will toward people who have made money — good on them. But when they try to come across as something they’re not, it’s creepy and inauthentic. This pair almost makes Kamala Harris seem real. (Almost.)
It’s baffling to me that Gavin has gotten as far as he has with his record of failure as an executive and with the scandals in his personal life. If Jennifer wants to continue in her role as “first partner” in what seems to be his inevitable presidential run, she can expect a whole lot more scrutiny once the rest of the nation starts tuning in.
I don’t think she’s going to like it.
