Remember when the media around the world went nuts over Elon Musk’s arm gesture that they claimed was a Nazi salute? It occurred almost a year ago today, on January 20, 2025, at a Washington, D.C. rally celebrating Donald Trump’s inauguration to his second stint in office.
An enthusiastic Musk stuck his arm out in a straight line for a mere second – and the world went wild. “I never imagined we would see the day when what appears to be a Heil Hitler salute would be made behind the Presidential seal,” wrote thankfully retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler (NY-15) on social media. “80 Years After Auschwitz, Elon Musk Keeps the Fascist Salute Alive,” read a Newsweek opinion piece headline. Not to be left out, the Associated Press jumped in with, “Musk’s straight-arm gesture embraced by right-wing extremists regardless of what he meant.”
But guess who also has used that gesture on more than one occasion? You got it — newly minted NYC democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Does the corrupt, lying mainstream press care? Of course not. He’s a progressive; he can do what he wants.

Not surprisingly, disgraced Minnesota Gov. Walz had joined in on the Elon feeding frenzy:
Liberals and critics frequently attacked Trump while he was on the campaign trail by calling him a Hitler-esque fascist, including former Vice President Kamala Harris, who compared Trump to the German dictator during a town hall in the final stretch of the 2024 election cycle. Musk attended Trump's inaugural parade in 2025, where he spoke to supporters and was accused of giving a Hitler-style salute to the crowds — a narrative that was promoted by Democrats such as Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Musk had previously addressed the sustained “Nazi” fascist attacks that he and most others in Trumpworld have sustained. It’s pure propaganda, he said:
"Well, I mean, look, it’s a relentless propaganda campaign, which obviously President Trump has experienced for a very long time, 20 years, maybe longer," Musk said on Fox News' "My View with Lara Trump" in May. "And politics is a blood sport, so they’re going to come up with whatever attacks they can to destroy the public perception of someone."
We have a saying around here: you can’t hate the media enough. Once again, they piled on like sheep when it fit the leftist narrative, then clammed up like Mafia bosses when it didn’t. It reminds me of a similar moment in March 2024 when Trump talked about the bloodbath in the auto industry. Dozens of outlets jumped in with what almost seemed like coordinated headlines to preposterously claim that he was calling for violence in the streets.
He was giving a speech on the economy, dingbats.

As we reported, Musk posted to social media on New Year’s Day that he is fully behind supporting the GOP in the midterms. The media are surely sharpening their knives for their next Nazi attack, but fewer and fewer people will listen. When your double standard is this blatant, you harm your credibility even further, if that’s even possible after the great Biden cognitive decline cover-up.
As Musk said in his post on Friday, “they lie."
