As of today, Tuesday, November 4, the Schumer Shutdown is officially the longest in federal government history. Way to go. Along the way, they have hurt millions of Americans, from flight controllers to SNAP beneficiaries to National Park personnel to our military. And what have they accomplished with their theatrics, what have they done to make the lives of our citizens better?
Nada. Zilch. Rien.
And why are they doing this, and why are they likely to vote to extend it on Tuesday (or at least, refuse to vote for the clean, non-political Continuing Resolution that would fund the government and end it)?
Our Buzz Patterson has a friendly little cheat sheet:

The most recent vote, on October 28, 54–45, failed, with three Democrats crossing the line but five more needed.
Remember this from 2013?
Ohh you’re gonna love this one!!

Barack Obama: “Shutting down the government just because you don’t like a law that was passed… no Congress has ever been irresponsible enough to threaten an economic shutdown… I will not negotiate on anything..”
Trump should play this on… pic.twitter.com/dZgMB9C5Il
Trump should play this on repeat.
There are rumors that the Dems plan on ending the standoff after crucial elections are held across the country today – including for California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s state constitution-shredding, odious gerrymandering Prop. 50, gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey, and don’t forget, New Yorkers are probably going to elect radical extremist Zohran Mamdani as mayor of the Big Apple. For now, however, they are likely to keep prolonging the pain:
The prior record was held by the 2018-2019 government shutdown during President Donald Trump's first term. Trump signed legislation ending that shutdown in the 9 p.m. hour on the 35th day.
Tuesday marks the 35th day of the current fiscal standoff. And with no deal reached yet between Democrats and Republicans in Congress, it's all but certain that the dispute will bleed into day 36.

Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz is disgusted that they’re playing games with people’s lives. They want to “turn out their radicals” in today’s elections, he said:
The Schumer Shutdown is now the longest in U.S. history.

Democrats are only keeping the government closed because they want to turn out their radicals for Election Day.
Today, Republicans will vote for the 14th time to open the government for the American people. pic.twitter.com/zfNd36TGOI
The Democrats have brought us men in women’s sports, discriminatory DEI policies, a surge in political violence, democratic socialism, and so much more. Now they’ve broken a record for the longest and most futile shutdown ever.
Today’s elections matter – but midterms will matter even more, and every patriot should remember then what they’re doing right now.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
