It’s been almost a month since the sick Boulder, Colorado firebomb attack on June 1 by a crazed antisemite against people participating in a walk for Run for Their Lives, a group advocating for the Hamas hostages. The suspect, a 45-year-old Egyptian named Mohamed Sabry Soliman who was here illegally, threw Molotov cocktails and used a makeshift flamethrower to attack the peaceful crowd, injuring 15 people.
Now, sadly, one of those victims has died—82-year-old Karen Diamond.

The above post, from the Bay Area Jewish Community Relations Council, continued:
She was attacked for being Jewish - for standing up peacefully on behalf of the hostages held by Hamas who do not have a voice. This tragic loss is a painful reminder of the escalating threats and violence targeting Jewish communities across North America. We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and community affected by this devastating news. May her memory be a blessing.
She is survived by her husband, two sons and daughters-in-law, and five grandsons.

Soliman will now face upgraded charges:
He will now face two murder charges in connection with the death of Karen Diamond, who 'died tragically as a result of the severe injuries that she suffered in the attack,' the office of Boulder District Attorney Michael Dougherty said in a release.
'This horrific attack has now claimed the life of an innocent person who was beloved by her family and friends,' Dougherty said. 'Our hearts are with the Diamond family during this incredibly difficult time.'
Colorado Gov. Jared Polis and Rep. Joe Neguse expressed their condolences:

The terrorist, who'd been living in Colorado Springs with his wife and five children, was already facing numerous state and federal charges, including 16 counts of attempted first-degree murder. He had also reportedly received a work visa to remain in the United States under the Biden administration, but it had expired in March. He had planned the attack for over and year and was just waiting for his daughter to graduate high school for him to execute it.
It sounds like this twisted mind will never taste freedom again, which is a good thing. However, it won’t bring Karen Diamond back. RIP.
