I wrote about a fabulous chap named Denver Moore back in April—he’s (now) a 104-year-old WWII vet, but when he was still only 103, he went viral for requesting a very special guest for his birthday celebration—President Donald Trump. You see, he’s a patriotic American and MAGA fan who wanted to express his appreciation for the job the commander in chief is doing.

At the time I wrote:

Do it, Mr. President!

I hope RedState will have some good news to report on that day. 

And you know what? It's that day, and we do have some good news to report.   

Trump has been a little busy on an overseas trip bringing in massive foreign investment into the country, and was therefore unable to pop by the Danbury Senior Living facility in Massillon, a town just south of Cleveland, for the party. That doesn’t mean the president forgot Moore, though—he sent a video message to congratulate the former member of the Army Air Corps.

Even a TDS-ridden liberal might have to acknowledge the joy of the moment:

Congressman Introduces Bill to Study Dangerous Psychological Condition Known As 'TDS,' and I Had to Laugh

The president had warm words for the 104-year-old:

On Thursday, Moore found out he had received a video message from the president delivered by his congressman, Rep. Michael Rulli, R-Ohio.

"Hi, Denver!" Trump says in the video message.

"I want to wish you a very happy 104th birthday from your all-time favorite president. That's me, Donald Trump," he continues. "And I'm sorry we weren't able to get to your party. I would love to get to your party, but I'm working on Russia, Ukraine, China, and all sorts of other places, and I know you want us to do well."

"But I want just to thank you for your incredible service to our nation and for your support for making America great again. A very, very special man you are, and happy birthday," he continued.

It's gotta be a special moment when the president of the United States wishes you a happy birthday. 

The TikTok video in March that showed Moore hoping the president could come to his party amassed almost a million views. The plucky old-timer showed he’s still got plenty of fight left:

Trump could have easily neglected this moment, but he didn't, and even while dealing with multiple crises and international dealings, he took the time to honor one of our oldest veterans. 

For now, though, let’s turn our attention back to Denver Moore. Not only do you have a great name, Mr. Moore, but by all accounts, you're a great American.
