NBA legend and broadcasting superstar Charles Barkley is one of the most opinionated and laugh-out-loud former athletes we have in America. He’s not for everyone, and his hot takes range from spot-on to ludicrous, but he is always entertaining to those who get his shtick (count me among that group).
Love him or hate him, he took just a few short words to shred the whole “men in women’s sports” issue, saying what most of us think: “it’s stupid.”
Simple, but straight to the point (profanity alert):
Now Barkley has shared his thoughts on the situation as a guest on Dan Dakich's show on Outkick, a few weeks after it was reported that Nike funded a study on transgender athletes in youth sports.
'I'm gonna make this very simple for you, Dan. Men should not play sports against women,' Barkley said. 'I'm not gonna get into all the bull***t that's going on out here in the world today.'
That about sums it up.
Charles Barkley tells @dandakich anyone arguing men should be able to play women’s sports is stupid. Succinct, accurate: pic.twitter.com/ky6WoHpVo2

But wait! Doesn’t that make him a transphobe, a homophobe, an everything else phobe—just an all-around hater?
No. He’s not peddling hate, he’s just pointing out an obviously ridiculous situation that the extreme left has been trying to shove down our throats:
'Men should not play sports against women. If anybody thinks that, I think they're stupid,' Barkley added. 'I support the gay community 100%. I support the transgender community 100%.'
'But I do not, under any circumstances… think that men should play sports against women. And if anybody has a problem with that, they're gonna have to get over it because I'm not gonna change my [mind]. I just think it's wrong, period.'

Sir Charles—like many of us—can’t even believe that such a stance would be controversial in any universe. Isn’t it obvious to anyone with living tissue in their skull that siccing males on females in athletic competitions of strength and speed is dangerous, unfair, and absolutely idiotic?
Barkley:
'I don't even think that's controversial… I don't wanna hear you try to explain it to me. No, no, no, I don't wanna hear it. I'm not gonna argue with you. Men shouldn't play sports against woman.
'I'm done.'
Barkley doesn't need to sit through a congressional hearing, or listen to the likes of AOC prattling on, or attend a Pride parade to know that tolerance doesn't mean giving into insanity. Live and let live—unless you're trampling on the rights of others. And if you don't think men in women's sports is trampling on other people's lives, just have a chat with Riley Gaines or many of the other females who have been cheated out of their achievements by boys wanting to be girls.
Does anyone really think it would be fair to match Angel Reese up against this guy?
