Corrupt NY Dem Lawmakers Know Just Who Should Foot the Bill for Letitia James' Legal Woes

We’ve written about how craven New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned for her job on “Get Trump!” It didn’t matter what for, or even if he had even committed a crime—just get him, some how, some way.

She did “get him” in the end in one of the most farcical cases I have ever seen when she managed to get a deep-blue New York judge to agree that the mogul had committed real estate fraud, even though their were no victims, no financial losses, and even the banks and insurance companies who did business with admitted they'd do it again.

For these “offenses,” Trump was ordered by slippery Judge Arthur Engoron to pony up well over $450 million (a figure which keeps rising due to interest piling up as he appeals). This is justice?

But the chickens have come home to roost for Livid Letitia, and she has now been caught up in her own real estate scandal. New York lawmakers think the taxpayer should pay the legal bills should action be taken against her by the DOJ:

Taxpayers could be on the hook for legal bills New York Attorney General Letitia James racks up during Justice Department probes into her alleged fraudulent real estate dealings, The Post has learned.

New York’s operations budget bill includes specific language that indicates certain state officials could tap into a $10 million fund to cover “any reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses incurred” as part of a Trump administration-led probe tied to their state-based employment.

Multiple sources told The Post that the language in the bill, which will be made public later Wednesday, would apply to James’ looming legal fight.

It would also cover other state employees whom the Trump administration considers going after, the sources added.

Oh, how convenient. And how utterly corrupt. The misdeeds she stands accused of were not done in her official capacity; these were allegedly due to her own personal foibles. Why should Brooklyn Bob have to pay for it?

Anti-Trump Crusader Letitia James' Response to Possible Federal Charges Is Laugh-Out-Loud Hysterical

Donald Trump opined even before this news broke that she was a “horrible human being”:

Her misdeeds appear to be well documented. It’s all the more astonishing considering she’s waxed poetic and holier-than-though at length about how “no one is above the law,” and the exact type of “mistakes” she made are the very ones she’d prosecute the hell out of you or I for if we made them:

Since the allegation broke about her alleged financial shenanigans, Tish James has been on a rampage, whining about the weaponization of justice and the retribution campaign supposedly waged by the Trump administration. If there’s anyone who has no place lamenting such things, it’s the crusading leftist from New York who has made a career out of doing exactly that.

No one is above the law, Ms. James.
