Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) unveiled some tough, new billboards Thursday that will be posted across Central America and Mexico, warning illegal immigrants of the perils they face as they try to break our laws and enter the country.

The billboards pull no punches:

The tweet continues:

Abbott says the billboards are going up in both Mexico and Central America, and will be in multiple languages including Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and Arabic.

He says the billboards also warn migrants that they will be arrested and jailed if they cross illegally into Texas, and that the Trump administration will prioritize them for deportation if they’ve been arrested.

Abbott understood that the messages were pointed, and that’s exactly what was intended:

Gov. Greg Abbott today announced a new border security strategy to deter migrants from crossing into Texas.

Billboards have been posted across Central America and Mexico, telling horror stories to deter migrants from entering, Abbott said.

Those stories involve migrants being sexually assaulted while seeking to enter the United States. One of the billboards, the governor said, asks family members this question, "How much did you pay to have your daughter raped?"

"This is tough medicine," Abbott said. "But we want no more rape trees in Texas. Do not make the dangerous trek to Texas."

Abbott has been outspoken about his disgust with the Biden-Harris regime’s border policy, which is basically just, “Come on in!” Estimates vary widely, but in July, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz put the number at 11 million, and some think it’s far higher than that (especially when you factor in all the gotaways).

Greg Abbott Accuses Biden of 'Destroying the Country' and Using Illegal Immigrants As 'Political Pawns'

While Joe Biden has done nothing to stem the flow of illegals and stop the routine cruelty that immigrants—especially women—are subject to, Abbott has been fighting back.

Abbott made the announcement on a private ranch just over a mile from the border in Eagle Pass in south Texas. He said he had the ashes of a tree where migrant women were sexually assaulted by human traffickers.

The governor made today's announcement accompanied by Texas Department of Public Safety Director Freeman Martin, Adjutant General of Texas Major General Thomas Suelzer, Texas Border Czar Mike Banks, Association Against Sexual Assault CEO Rose Luna, and ranchers Kimberly and Martin Wall.

The governor also announced Thursday that his Public Safety Office (PSO) will administer over $500 million in grant funding for a variety of public safety programs:

Abbott is likely counting the days until Trump gets into office and his tough-talking Border Czar Tom Homan can get to work. Biden leaves behind so many failures, but his (non) performance at the border is certainly at or near the top of the list of most disastrous policies.
