It seemed like a routine political ad: you’ve got the dramatic narrator, the chyrons, the intense music. In this case, it also came with a dose of unintended humor because Kamala Harris talking about how tough she is on the border is like MSNBC telling us that Joe Biden is sharp as a tack.
But it also included a shot of Tulare County, California Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, and it turns out he’s no fan of the vice president. In fact, he issued a statement calling her attempts to portray herself as something she's not “pathetic”:
"As Attorney General, Kamala Harris undercut efforts by California law enforcement officials to stop criminals from flooding our state with guns and drugs across the border," the statement read.
"She repeatedly defunded and shuttered task forces designed to protect our residents, leaving the Valley and our state vulnerable," the statement continued. "Kamala's sad attempt to paint herself as tough on the border by implying my support – and the support of neighboring law enforcement leaders – is pathetic."

The sheriff appeared only briefly in the video as he stood with other officials at a 2014 Central Valley event where Harris, then the Golden State’s Attorney General, spoke. “A politician crowding the podium at a press conference clearly hasn't solved our border crisis,” Boudreaux’s statement read. “Neither has Kamala Harris."

"As president, she will hire thousands more border agents and crack down on fentanyl and human trafficking. Fixing the border is tough. So is… pic.twitter.com/qb2wS5CLml
It’s not the only deceitful border spot she’s run recently:
New Kamala Harris Ad Painting Her As Some Sort of Border Hawk Is Downright Ludicrous
Boudreaux issued a separate statement to Fox News Digital and pointed out that Kamala's own rhetoric and record expose just how dishonest her latest spot is:
"As a matter of fact, I would like to point out the misleading information projected in that same political ad. In the ad, Harris claims to have spent decades fighting violent crime as a ‘border state prosecutor.’ The facts are that ‘then California Attorney General Kamala’ came to the Valley in 2014 touting a years-long investigation into a multi-national drug operation, with ties to Mexican drug cartels and prison gangs," Boudreaux said.
Boudreaux said in that particular case, 11 people were arrested, including suspected "kingpin" Jose Magana of Dinuba.
"The truth is, Harris never cared about the cartels and did nothing to stop people from illegally crossing the border," Boudreaux said.
Not only that, he was evidently rude to the other officials at the event, according to the sheriff.
"We were in the green room. She never came in and said hello to any of us. She walked up front, gave her presser, literally walked out, never said hi to any of us," Boudreaux said. "I'm disgusted because, you know, she didn't shake hands. She didn't say hello. And she's taken credit for all this work that the locals did."

Campaign X Account Tries and Fails to Gaslight Us on Harris Word Salads
It’s baffling to me that Kamala is choosing this path and trying to convince voters that she’s been for anything other than wide open borders for years. Not even her most ardent supporters believe this type of blatant gaslighting. She and Joe Biden have completely abdicated responsibility and allowed as many as 10 million illegal aliens to slip into the country. Remember that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Monday that there’s “no daylight” between Joe and Kamala’s visions for the nation. She owns it.
Thankfully, people like Boudreaux will keep reminding her of that.
