Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is the latest high-ranking Democrat to indicate that she’s ready to move on from embattled incumbent President Joe Biden as his reelection chances continue to sink. Warren is ready to back Kamala Harris because—although the vice president has almost no accomplishments to show for her three-and-a-half years as vice president—she’s really strong on abortion and was once a prosecutor.
I can’t be the only one who finds it odd that a leading Democrat is touting Harris’ crime-fighting past when the party has overseen a virtual war on law enforcement and has seen crime spiral out of control in most blue cities as criminal-loving, George-Soros-backed liberal prosecutors have seemingly endorsed lawlessness on our streets.
But Warren thinks Harris is up to the job:
Harris is ready to “step up” and “unite the party to take on Donald Trump,” Elizabeth Warren, the senator from Massachusetts, said Saturday on MSNBC. Warren vouched for Harris as a crusader against big banks and heralded her efforts to protect abortion rights.
“Look if you’re running against a convicted felon, then a prosecutor like Kamala is really a good person to make that case,” Warren said, referring to Harris’s previous roles as California’s attorney general and San Francisco’s district attorney.
Warren also said that Biden “has a really big decision to make” regarding his candidacy, which is a mealy-mouthed, gutless way of saying that it’s obvious he’s compromised and needs to step aside for the good of the country.

The problem for Warren—and for Harris—is that Kamala is a deeply unpopular politician and her chances of winning the presidency are slim. Her term as vice president is perhaps best known for her legendary cackling and incomprehensible, kindergarten-level word salads; however, her tenure as border czar was an incontrovertible failure, and she has little to offer in the way of a vision for the country other than “abortion, abortion, abortion.”
Meanwhile, Warren is so out of touch with the reality that ordinary Americans are facing under Bidenomics that it’s impossible to take anything she says seriously.

The Democrats are stuck in an unenviable position—they can either back a mentally compromised president or latch on to his uninspiring, would-be successor. There’s also the third option, of course—chuck the black female to the side in favor of a white governor like California’s Gavin Newsom or Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer. The screeching from the leftist base would be deafening.
This is their bed, and they made it. Good luck with that, Sen. Warren.
