After Joe Biden's dumpster fire of a debate Thursday night, talk naturally turned to who would replace him on the top of the presidential ticket since it's abundantly clear that he's not up to the job. Names like California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and even laughably, Illinois Gov. J. B. Pritzker. But you know whose name appears at the top of very few lists? Vice President Kamala Harris.
The reason why is not hard to discern: she has few if any, accomplishments to speak of during her VP term, and her public appearances are wincingly terrible and are peppered with shrill giggles and word salads that make even Newsom blush.
She didn't do herself any favors by taping a spot for Sunday night's Black Entertainment Television Awards, where she blatantly pandered and had little to offer as a national vision other than abortion, abortion, abortion.

The bit shows her talking on the phone with actress Taraji P. Henson, who is worried that if Biden doesn't win, all our freedoms will somehow be taken away. The pair try to show how hip they are by referencing a rap song:
"Madam VP Harris, I’m worried about the election. Women’s reproductive rights are on the line, our Supreme Court is on the line, our basic freedoms are being tested. Madam VP, I know you’ve been traveling across the country," Henson said. "What are you hearing?"
"Yeah girl, I’m out here in these streets. And let me tell you, you’re right, Taraji. There is so much at stake in this moment. The majority of us believe in freedom and equality. But these extremists, as they say, they not like us," Harris said, using a nod to rapper Kendrick Lamar’s popular song "Not Like Us."
Lamar’s "Not Like Us" is a recent "diss track" in which the Los Angeles-based rapper accuses rival Drake of being a pedophile for dating younger women. "Not Like Us" has emerged as a rallying cry in the hip-hop community in recent weeks.
Not exactly presidential. Kamala's attempts to be real backfire spectacularly, as she seems anything but.
The debate was a disaster for Biden, but the blowback hasn't been much kinder to Harris:

The two go on to fret about the "full-on attack on our fundamental freedoms," but you get the idea. It's tough to watch.
The internet can be a cruel critic, however, and reviews soon started pouring in. They weren't pretty.
How is not considered wildly offensive to have Kamala so blatantly put on a "blackcent" when speaking to BET like this? https://t.co/FmgHNJWOdS

You have a security detail???? You live in the Naval Observatory???
This is disgusting. https://t.co/LOJf7eBbTl
Remember: She's just one heartbeat away.
Just when we think Kamala Harris has come up with her most stup*d act, she takes it to another level. A college-educated, law school graduate really said "they not like us?" How much worse can it get. Remember, she's one heartbeat away..... https://t.co/sV9252sN9f

I'm not sure what Team Kamala was thinking when they approved this video. Kamala's complete lack of authenticity will resonate with few but alienate many. Harris' political career was already in jeopardy, but this has the potential to send her approval ratings even lower (and they're already in the basement).
Will MSNBC hire her?
