Iranians, Palestinians Celebrate on Streets After Iran's Israel Attack—but the Hangover May Be Rough

Multiple videos of Iranians and Palestinians celebrating are spreading across social media as the Islamic Republic’s aerial assault against Israel continues Saturday night. As of now, we know that Iran launched over 200 drones and missiles at the Jewish state, and reports indicate that U.S., Jordanian, and Israeli forces have shot many of them down.

However, an unknown number have pierced the defenses, and a 7-year-old Bedouin girl was seriously wounded. (There have been conflicting reports on that; some outlets are saying that it was a boy and that the child may have been 10 years old.)

But for Iranians and Palestinians, it was time to gloat. (Note: some of these videos have been posted to Twitter/X and have not been independently verified.)

Here, revelers take to Iran’s capital city of Tehran to rejoice over the fact that their leaders are on the verge of causing an all-out regional war (or worse):

There were multiple vehicle parades with motorcycle riders carrying Iranian flags, while bystanders set off fireworks and chanted "Allahu Akbar (God is the Greatest!)"

They may be celebrating tonight, but the hangover could be brutal--if and when Israel decides to hold them accountable. There were plenty of tough words from Israeli leaders Saturday night:

“This is a severe and dangerous escalation," warned IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari. “Our defensive and offensive capabilities are at the highest level of readiness.”

Together with our partners, the IDF is operating at full force to defend the State of Israel—and the people of Israel. This is a mission that we are determined and ready to fulfill.

As RedState’s Bonchie reported, Iran may come to regret their offensive:

Enjoy the party, revelers. I don’t think the repercussions are going to be nearly as much fun, though. The Israelis will most likely make things tough for Iran, and perhaps even Joe Biden will now stop coddling the pugilistic regime. (Although that might be too much to hope for.)

Editor's note: One of the videos that originally accompanied this article has been removed as it was reportedly not from Saturday's "celebrations."
