The Australian amateur soccer team the "Flying Bats" has won a women's-only tournament and collected the $1,000 prize after going undefeated in the four-week North West Sydney League tournament.
Congratulations to the team.
Except, mark this victory off as bats*** crazy because five of their players are biologically born males, and one of the transgender footballers scored six goals en route to a 10-0 beatdown, according to reports.
Girl parents were naturally incensed:
Some parents pulled their daughters from matches over safety concerns, officials from other soccer clubs in the North West Sydney League told the paper.
They believe the Flying Bats, which are backed by Pride Football Australia, should instead play in the mixed-gender games that include men and women.
“Our girls are here to play for fun and expect to play in the female competition. They did not sign up for a mixed competition,” one senior club official said.

What the heck is going on in Australia? I thought this was the land of Crocodile Dundee, who would put up with this garbage for exactly one hot second.
Unsurprisingly, in this day and age, progressives came out in defense of the trans athletes—but seemingly had zero empathy for the biological females who were adversely affected:
The Flying Bats Football Club president Jen Peden defended the club’s tournament victory and said the team stands for inclusion and “trans women belong in the women’s competition because that is the gender with which they identify”.
“As a club, the Flying Bats FC stand strongly for inclusion, and pride ourselves on safe, respectful and fair play, the promotion of a supportive community for LGBTQIA+ players, officials and supporters, and the significant physical, social and mental health benefits that participation in sport brings, especially to marginalized members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We are a club that values our cisgender and transgender players equally,” Peden said.

Translation: Blah blah blah, we know that is unfair, but we don't care because we'd rather bend the knee to the woke gods of progressivism than stand by our principles.
But Peden wasn't done. She continued her defense of the inclusion of biologically born males on her team, roundly condemning discrimination while completely ignoring the obvious discrimination foisted on her own players:
“We strongly support the Australian Human Rights Commission’s guidelines for the inclusion of transgender and gender diverse people in sport,” she added, noting there have been transgender players in the club for 20 years.
A spokesman for Football NSW told The Daily Telegraph the league takes “pride in being at the forefront of developing inclusive policies for the sport in Australia and operates within the existing legal framework, including antidiscrimination legislation.”
I remember about eight years ago now, arguing with a liberal relative about what was coming down the pike. "Just you wait," I said, "next there will be men claiming to be women competing in women's sports."
He scoffed. Such a thing seemed unthinkable at the time, even a few short years ago. "No way!" he retorted. "You're just being intolerant."
But I was right, and he was wrong, although he won't admit it—because liberals never do own up to their mistakes—but here we are, and we've seen story after story of males disrupting the female sports world with little pushback from the supposed "feminists." Former Kentucky swim star Riley Gaines is one of the few issuing serious blowback, and for that, I commend her. And to give credit where credit is due, former Olympian Bruce—now Caitlyn—Jenner has come out strongly in defense of women's sports and pointed out the obvious: that men have an inherent advantage in physical contests.
It's profoundly disturbing that we've come to this point in Western culture when simple facts such as that men have physical advantages over women in the athletic world are obfuscated in the name of "wokeness." As a "girl dad"—I have three wonderful daughters—I find this loathsome. I can't speak for the late great NBA-er Kobe Bryant, a self-professed girl dad, but I can't imagine he'd be all in for his beloved daughter grinding in the paint against the likes of the 6' 9" Karl Malone.
Where are the feminists? They've seemingly sold out all their credibility and their support of women just so they can be included in the woke crowd.
Sad.
