Former President Trump made a bold statement on his Truth Social social media platform Sunday before the Big Game (the Super Bowl, for all you non-sports fans), claiming that pop star Taylor Swift will not endorse President Joe Biden for reelection for president in the ’24 campaign.

He claims he’s helped her, while Biden has not:

Trump was referencing a 2018 copyright bill that he signed, which many felt was beneficial to musicians.

I hoped I would go the whole football season without having to write about Taylor Swift, but my winning streak has officially ended. Swift has been at the top of the headlines recently because of her global “Eras” Tour, and because she’s been dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The Chiefs are playing in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, if you had somehow missed that.

Trump continued:

“Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!” 

Kelce has been a top-notch player for the Chiefs, but he’s also been a big pusher of the mRNA COVID vaccines:

The reason this “news” is important is that Taylor’s numerous, devoted fans – the Swifties – could come out in force for Biden, especially if she gives her endorsement of the mentally challenged president. However, I would imagine that most Swifties are already pulling for Biden, given their demographics.

Questions surrounding Swift’s potential involvement in politics were sparked last month after The New York Times released a report that Biden’s aides are vying for the support of the “Shake It Off” singer as the campaign centers its focus on November’s general election. The Times reported the campaign was flooded with suggestions to get Swift’s voice on board, including sending Biden to a stop of Swift’s “Eras Tour.”
