Ever Think the System Is Rigged? Unfortunately—You’re Right

During Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial, Democrats and media pundits endlessly shouted the phrase, “Our democracy is risk! Our democracy is risk!” like Paul Revere on a wild midnight ride. I would always snort in contempt, because come on, man, it wasn’t actually at risk, and I simply didn’t buy anything coming out of the mouth of the mendacious Adam Schiff.

They started the drumbeat again after January 6, and barely a day goes by now when you don’t hear an MSNBC analyst or a nutball like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez screaming, “no one is above the law!” I kept thinking, a bunch of rowdies and the “QAnon Shaman” dude in a horned fur hat was about to take over the US government? We have the mightiest military force in the history of humanity, yet this pathetic crew was going to overthrow it with a group of unarmed grandmas with cancer as their cavalry? Puh-lease.

Lately, however, I’ve had the sickening thought that… dare I say it? Our democracy is in danger. It hurts me to ever repeat anything Shifty Schiff spouts, but the evidence is in.

The Trump impeachment trials, especially the first one, were partisan farces and were quite simply staggering to watch, as Schiff and other hacks stood in the Senate chamber and day after day tried to claim that a routine phone call between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and then-President Trump was one of the true great crimes against humanity because of a few requests Trump made. (Even if you believe The Donald was out of line in the call—which I don’t—it’s ridiculous to argue that it was worthy of impeachment.) The entire affair was madness, and thankfully will just be a dubious moment in history. It was promoted, however, by senior elected members of our government and was carried out in one of our most honored spaces, the Senate, so it was not just some joke.

In fact, it turns out it was just a precursor to more unlawful Democrat power politics to come.

The spectacle of the January 6 hearing spectacle is an example of “justice” run amok. A House commission with subpoena powers is holding court over the actions of a former Republican president—yet the Democrats refuse to let meaningful GOP representation on the commission and only allowed never-Trumpers Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger aboard. Opposing witnesses are not permitted and there is no cross-examination. This is a true example of a kangaroo court, and would have been a hysterical scene in Woody Allen’s movie 1971 movie Bananas! but has no place in an advanced free society. (Bananas was in Woody’s heyday when his movies were still funny and he hadn’t yet married his step-daughter.)

In short, the January 6 hearings are… wait for it… rigged.

Remember Obama’s Internal Revenue Service targeting conservative groups under the direction of Lois Lerner? Guess who was held accountable? Nobody. Rigged. Steve Bannon just got convicted for contempt of congress for failing to appear for a subpoena. Guess who else did that and faced no consequence? Former Obama Attorney General Eric Holder. Can you guess my next thought? Rigged.

If you haven’t gotten the message, just wait for those 87,000 new IRS agents to come after you.

Never forget the destruction of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s reputation as a constitutional law geek and Dad Coach when Democrats enthusiastically pushed the sexual assault charges of Christine Blasey Ford  (and other whackjobs) despite a total lack of evidence and contemporaneous witnesses contradicting her ridiculous story. To this day, partisans still call him a rapist. Rigged.

I could go on and on about the government’s COVID policies at the state and national level but suffice it to say that two and a half years of nonsensical edicts and incorrect pronouncements tests the faith of even the most credulous mask and vaccine fanatics. It’s almost impossible to argue with logic that all the measures were designed for public safety, and were not in fact ordered to control the compliant population.

Let’s not forget Alex Berenson, the former New York Times author and novelist who was banned by Twitter for speaking truths on the platform about the real COVID and mRNA data. Not only has Twitter admitted that it barred him incorrectly, now it comes out that the Biden Administration actively forced them to do so. First Amendment, anyone?

“But wait, there’s more!” as those infamous RonCo ads used to say. Bring on the “Inflation Reduction Act.” Nobody seriously thinks it will reduce inflation by jacking up spending, but that’s what our betters are telling us. Even left-leaning journo John Karl of ABC asked the president’s press secretary if the bill’s title wasn’t “Orwellian.”  Her answer was nonsensical. Rigged.

There are so many other examples, but it’s time to touch on the worst case of all: the FBI’s raid of Donald Trump’s residence. Love him or hate him, he is the former President of the United States and is currently the chief rival to current President Joe Biden.

Yet, Biden’s Justice Department under the direction of crusading partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland just invaded Trump’s home, took his passport along with many other items, and won’t explain why. RIGGED.

I am not a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory fruitcake, and not so long ago I would have discounted a lot of this as regular political theater. But ever since the emergence of Orange Bad Man on the scene, the Democrat party, the Biden regime, and the mainstream media have continually lowered themselves to new and despicable depths in a widespread effort to spread continued lies and misinformation to convince us of narratives that aren’t true. In short—it’s very definitely rigged.

The only way to fight this is to make more and more people understand what is happening. Explain to your friends, write about it, post on social media. Run for office. We can’t lie on the couch and be continually gaslit and not fight back.

I used to get upset at people who would dare say that our own government was lying to us. “This is AMERICA!” I’d argue. I believed in this country and what it stood for. I still do, but I don’t believe many of the people running it right now. Don’t stand for it.

Trust me, this isn’t what you want:
