Former Vice President Kamala Harris' comments, which she made on Friday at the National Urban League Annual Conference in Tennessee, should be troubling to anyone looking at 2028, but not in the way Democrats might think.
As we wrote, she made an unforced error with one of her answers during the town hall segment, when asked which former presidents were the "top three most effective." She left out Joe Biden.
In addition to her fearmongering rhetoric about how the Republicans are trying to rig elections, Harris proclaimed that we should get rid of the Electoral College and expand the Supreme Court to 13 justices.
“I know this is going to be controversial coming from me, in particular,” she said on Friday. “We need to revisit the Electoral College. We need to revisit the point of expanding the court to 13 justices like we have 13 district courts. We need to revisit, if they so want, statehood for Puerto Rico and D.C.”

These sudden revelations appear after she didn't campaign on this at all in 2024, which explains the preface about it being "controversial." Regardless, Harris is all in now. She has been spouting these ideas about drastically altering the way our government functions for months, starting with softball interviews like this podcast in May:

But as I wrote about a week ago, Harris isn't the only one in the Democrat Party peddling these notions. Former Biden Transportation Sec. Pete Buttigieg has been saying the same radical leftist stuff over the summer, and you can see the details are practically identical.
"At a minimum, term limits so that, for each presidential term, you know how many Supreme Court appointments are going to go with it," he says.
His second idea: raising the number of Supreme Court justices (AKA court packing).
"I also think we would be better off with a court that has something like 13 justices that would match the number of districts that we have in the federal system," he says.

It comes just about two weeks after he told an Iowa Democrat Party audience he wants the Electoral College to be abolished and U.S. Supreme Court justices to be held accountable.

Anyone looking ahead to 2028 should be troubled. The other Stephen Miller wasn't wrong: The Democrat Party has no original ideas on how to govern and make life better for the American people, just these rote bad ideas the wackos keep putting forward. It's clear to anyone who takes five minutes to listen to them. And while the Dems aren't known for great planning and execution, they are smart enough not to nominate Kamala a second time. At least, you would hope so.
