Vance Shares What Democrats Can Do to Get Republicans to Shut Up About Voter Fraud. They Won't Like It.

Vice President JD Vance spoke during a visit to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, with part of his remarks about the fraud task force's fight against fraudsters. But the topics he touched on were wide-ranging, including the fight across the country for election integrity, as well as the latest on the Iran peace negotiations. I'll swing back to election fraud and voter ID shortly.

Vance told the crowd gathered at the 128th Refueling Wing about the White House's fragile work towards a peace deal with the Iranians, saying that some leaders within the regime were telling the administration that they "wanted to change their relationship with the United States," so President Trump put a "basic deal" on the table:

Vance said that the president agreed to start negotiations, just in case these were the non-crazy people talking on behalf of Iran:

.@VP on Iran: "The basic deal that we cut was 'we'll lift our blockade if you stop shooting at chips [sic] — but if you shoot at ships, we are going to punch back, and we're going to punch back harder than ever before.'"

Now we know Iran started shooting at ships again 24 hours ago, after being "well behaved for about a week," he said. "If they shoot at ships, we're going to knock the hell out of them," VP Vance added.

In case you missed it, RedState wrote several times on Trump's remarks on Iran earlier in the day, including when he said the ceasefire had been broken by Iran's actions.

'Let's Just Finish the Job': Trump Confirms Iran Strikes to Likely Come Wednesday Night

WMTV-15 News reported on the vice president talking on the latest move for catching the fraudsters, when it comes to protecting American jobs:

@JDVance says the U.S. Department of Labor is launching an investigation into the use of H1B visas.

“American jobs have got to go to American workers,” Vance said.

Then Vance turned to the Democrat Party's unwillingness to cut another kind of deal - to make sure we know who is casting votes in this country, and that they are legally eligible to enter the voting booth. You've likely heard the caterwauling from the Left that the Republicans need to end the fight on this issue. They insist it's racist, of course.

So the vice president said on Wednesday he has a "deal" for Dems that would get Republicans to stop talking about voter fraud and needing a photo ID once and for all: Join our side and pass the SAVE America Act!

"If Democrats want us to stop talking about election fraud, I make them a simple deal: pass the SAVE America Act and get Voter I.D. and we'll stop talking about election fraud. We are the only advanced democracy anywhere in the entire world that doesn't require you to show a voter I.D. to vote. It's simple—just give us election integrity laws, give us Voter I.D., and then we will have the confidence to say to the American people there's no cheating."

As Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) keeps hammering home, there is only one logical reason why Democrats refuse to take that simple step - they depend on the lax rules sticking around to allow cheating to tip the scales in their favor.

Vance also shared a funny workplace anecdote - which many people can relate to - about missing a time sensitive phone call from your boss (or in this case, a prospective boss - Donald Trump - during the 2024  Republican National Convention):

"I get a phone call. Actually, it was a text message from Susie Wiles, who was the campaign manager in 2024. And the text message says, 'JD, you just missed a very important phone call.'

I'm like, oh, no. So I call the President of the United States and I say, 'sir, I hear I missed an important phone call.'

And he said, 'JD, you did miss a very important phone call. And now I'm gonna have to pick somebody else.'

And you know, my entire body clenches up. I'm like, 'is this, is this real?'

And then at the same time, my 7-year-old, who's now 9, but at the time, my 7-year-old boy is talking to me about Pokemon cards!

So I'm trying to talk to the President of the United States about becoming the vice presidential nominee. And meanwhile my 7-year-old is talking to me about Charmander cards. And I have no idea what's going on.

As the Vice President of United States joked, it all ended up working out.

Editor’s Note: Republicans are fighting for election integrity by requiring proper identification to vote.
