Watch: NC's Cowardly Roy Cooper Refuses to Answer Why He Supports Biological Men in Women's Sports

Transgender ideology has so embedded itself in the Democrat Party, it's sometimes hard to believe that a group of people could be so deluded. One example of this is former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, who was pressed by one of our colleagues at sister site Townhall to answer what, for most Americans, is the easiest question imaginable: "Why do you support men being able to play women's sports?"

What did Cooper do? He turned tail and fled without a word.

Watch:

Before the door of his Uber ride closed, the reporter got in one more simple question: "Governor Cooper, are there more than two genders?"

Cooper served as the Old North State's governor from 2017 until January 2025. During that time, he used his veto pen in 2023 while attempting to stop a bill by the state's Republican supermajority in the House and Senate to ban transgender medical procedures on minors, "and other bills touching on gender in sports and LGBTQ+ instruction in the classroom."

Ultimately, the legislators overrode Cooper's vetoes, allowing those bills to become law.

Readers are probably very familiar with the former governor's stance supporting abortion, as RedState's streiff wrote.

While it wasn't confirmed during the 2024 presidential race why the short-listed Cooper wasn't chosen as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate, there were indications that it could be because he is considering a run for Senate in 2026.

Another colleague at Townhall, Katie Pavlich was also a guest on Fox News' "The Five" on Friday, talking on this very issue. What she said about girls' and women's sports is plain common sense:
