MOTR, Ep. 60: Joe Biden's Given $8B to Afghans Since 2021. But He Won't Say Why

For someone reputed by media to ooze empathy, Joe Biden mostly displays an air of stubborn arrogance resistant to accountability.

Nearly two years after, he’s still calling his lethally botched Afghanistan withdrawal “an extraordinary success.”

The billions in sophisticated military gear he abandoned in the abrupt chaotic exit is now being used against Afghans and has been spotted next-door where the Taliban’s affiliate is attempting to overthrow Pakistan’s elected government.

That’s a government, by the way, that possesses an arsenal of nuclear weapons. I don’t want to imagine such weapons of mass destruction in the hands of terrorists.

It turns out now that since we left Afghanistan Joe Biden has sent some $8 billion of something into that godforsaken land.

Not surprisingly, a special Inspector General created by Congress in 2008 to oversee aid going there wants to know how it’s being spent, how Biden folks are monitoring whatever it is, so that the humanitarian aid — if that’s what it really is — goes to worthy folks and isn’t siphoned off by Taliban.

In case it matters to this administration, paying off those terrorists we fought over 20 years for anything would be illegal.

Now, get this: The Biden Administration is stonewalling the special IG, refusing to reveal how all this taxpayer money of yours and mine is being spent in a place that we thought we were well done with.

Secrets make for suspicions. If it’s really humanitarian aid, why hide that? If it isn’t humanitarian, what’s going on? Might our shadow soldiers be passing intel on to the Taliban to help terminate an ISIS leader for us? By the way, how do we know the Taliban whacked this guy?

Barack Obama put Joe Biden in charge of ensuring transparency in that administration. Biden organized a meeting — and closed it to the public.

So, perhaps this style of his should not be surprising. It is, however, illegal, completely illegal.

That’s the subject of my audio commentary this week. Please listen, share it with others, and leave your comments underneath.

The most recent audio commentary examined revelations that the Chinese Communists have been operating secret “police stations” across the United States for at least a year. Agents assigned there are tasked with intimidating Chinese immigrants from uttering any criticism of the Beijing regime and President Xi Jinping.

That’s an outrageous violation  of diplomatic protocol as well as, oh, I don’t know, free speech concepts that used to be sacred in this country. You can find that short audio commentary here.

The president finally declared his second-term candidacy and our Jennifer Van Laar holds him accountable.

My latest column examined the many reasons why Joe Biden should not be seeking a second term, including poll opposition from a majority of his own Democrat party and of all Americans.

Here’s an excerpt from Finally, Joe Biden Launches a ’24 Bid. But It’s No Gimme”:

That delay has been so long that some fellow Democrats feared the 80-year-old gaffe-meister was going to pull a Lyndon Johnson and drop out. There’s good reason for that fear given what the aged incumbent president faces:

The economy, poor polls, an open southern border, investigations into the family’s business dealings, and serious security lapses, including the Chinese spy balloon that completed its transcontinental espionage mission unhindered by the U.S,, recent Pentagon document leaks online, Biden’s own illegal mishandling of classified documents, and Russia’s intentional downing of a U.S. drone in international airspace with no presidential response.

Other than that, a Joe Biden reelection should be easy.
