Media’s power, to my mind, instead comes from telling us all what to think about.
And, boy, what our media is telling us to think about these days is right up there on the Trivia Scale of Who Cares? Jill Biden’s demeaning reference to Hispanics as breakfast tacos. Joe Biden’s fist bump with foreign royals. The multi-vaxxed man still caught COVID.
Is there a secret media conspiracy in play here to distract Americans from a president whose mind is decaying before our eyes? Or is it just mental lightweights catering to an audience they over-underestimate, to borrow a phrase?
