An arbitrator is sending Kaepernick’s grievance with the NFL to trial, denying the league’s request to throw out the quarterback’s claims that owners conspired to keep him out of the league because of his protests of social injustice. Given all that’s happened these last couple weeks, do you believe Colin Kaepernick should be awarded a job playing professional football?

Sunny Hostin — co-host of The View — thinks so.

The way she sees it, Colin’s due a spot on the team as well as an apology.

And back pay.

And the Nobel Peace Prize.

Personally, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets all four.

Sunny made the claims during Tuesday’s episode of the long-running talkfest, arguing that the former NFL quarterback was mistreated for taking a national-anthem knee during pre-game patriotic portions.

Main moderator Whoopi Goldberg inquired:

“The protests have people rethinking their stance on things like kneeling. And the question is, is Colin Kaepernick owed an apology? What do you think, Sunny?”

She held her elbow up and her bat back as Whoopi’s question sojourned slowly, straight to the center of the strike zone.

Hostin with the homer:

“Well, I don’t — I think he’s not only owed an apology, Whoopi. I think he’s owed his job. I think he’s owed back pay. I think he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.”

In case you weren’t aware, where taking a knee is concerned, the league’s commissioner recently recanted his previous position.

But Sunny surmised something’s still to be said:

“When you listen to Roger Goodell’s mea culpa, he mentions everything. He says, ‘We were wrong. We should have listened. Athletes in the league are now allowed to take a knee. We support peaceful protests.’ He mentions everything except the man who started…this peaceful protest.”

Whoopi, you may know, is no cheerleader for the Commander-in-Chief.

She offered:

“Well, you know who is still telling the NFL ‘No kneeling.’ So he’s not letting it go. Who’s on the right side here, Joy?”

It was a great pass…

Behar with the ball, for the alley-oop:

“Well, you know, Sunny just said Colin Kaepernick is really the hero of this and should be rewarded instead of thrown out of his job. The guy gave up his livelihood for a principle.”

Joy jabbed “Mitch McConnell and the rest of them, who are on the wrong side of history right now.”

“They’ll pay the price in years to come.”

Kaepernick’s sure trying to participate in history. He’s had strong words about the national response to Minneapolis man George Floyd’s terrible death.

From May 28th:

“When civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction. The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears, because your violence has brought this resistance. We have the right to fight back! Rest in Power, George Floyd.”

He’s continued contending for his convictions by championing the Colin Kaepernick Know Your Rights Camp:

And by promoting an anti-racist hockey league via retweet:

It’s certainly a time of radical response — America’s turn toward justice has been so staunch, Nancy Pelosi’s decided it’s her thing to wear African clothes:

She seems to have gotten religion:

Meanwhile, we’ve got a bit of this going on:

So whatcha think? Are you ready to see the NFL’s first Nobel Prize winner hitting the field as first-string QB?

Will Roger Goodell kneel before Colin Kaepernick prior to presenting penance in the form of a paycheck for owed earnings?

Let’s ask Lt. Frank Drebin:

Beyond that, will the NFL, The View, a rights camp, and a hockey league devoted to “diversity” thrive once there’s no more police?

It’s gonna sure be interesting to find out.

In the meantime, I implore you: Get on the right side of history.
